Westlake Hospital bought it and made all that into a parking lot. FormerMP, check the old posts.
Can you tell me if ANY of that neighborhood is left? I doubt it. Even Cock Robin is gone. Such a good chocolate ice cream!

Any body remember the Doggie Bag hot dog restautant on Lake Street? I used to grab a bite to eat there almost every afternoon after school.
During the summer months we'd stop off at the Cock Robin on 12th and Superior for steak burgers and One in a million shakes. I live across the street from the Cock Robin.

You know where the cafeteria is now in the West Lake Community Hospital, that was the basement of our home. We lived right at 13th and Superior.

We used to order from Dora's Pizza every Friday night when Chucks Dad was still around.

Thanks for this, it has brought back so many fond memories of my childhood. What a beautiful town that was.

Lol...Dora's was our hangout. They used to have a couple ofarcade games in the back...The last time I spoke to Chuck, I was saddened by them closing. They used to stand outside on the sidewalk all the time waving hi..great place.

Who is old timer '58? Westlake cafeteria is in your basement. Such a puzzle! That was a hospital since way before I was born. My sister was born in Westlake Hospital in 1941. How is any of that a residence of yours? it is written 13th Ave, and Superior. One corner was Gravly Tractors, another Auries Apartmemnts. Then, The Hulls and Mrs. Hitt"The Kindergarden Teacher" from Sacred Heart had the brown 2 flat in my lifetime. North East Corner is Westlake. We should all get together on Facebook! Please! I lived in the house around there 30 years!

One Step Beyond! I remember that place well. It was located close to the grammar school and approved by our enlightened liquor commissioner. Unfortuately it was closed due to protitution.

How about the disgusting motel that was where the retirement home is now at North and First. It fit in pretty well with the area and drew a big crowd.

I always thought the horse stables were on first avenue. They were razed the same time the go kart track was. That was next door to Kiddieland. Also another thing was Lorraine's records shop in the mall.
