I brought my daughters 04 RX8 to there service dept about 2 weeks ago, I spoke with Jim Wood, I told him my local mechanic said the throttle body was out, he said he could put one on but he couldn't program it, He advised that it would be better just to take it to a Mazda dealer & have it all done, That said, Mr. Wood contacted me back the next day & said it was a sensor & would be around $800, he then contacted me later and said that didn't fix it, & we where at $1200 to get it going, that didn't fix it so he took it upon his self to replace something else which he then contacted me and told me we where at $1700, and the vehicle was still not running, I asked Mr. Wood what it was going to take to get the car running, he said he would try & get me under $2500, Mr. Wood contacted me today & said my vehicle was ready & it would cost $2904 to get the car, needless to say I'm not a very happy person, I know these guys work on commission & I feel I have been screwed over, Doe's anyone have any advise? or do you think i'm just screwed. Thanks for your input.
