Coral reefs may be undergoing total collapse
By Jim Waymer, Florida Today MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Coral reefs might be undergoing a total collapse that could last thousands of years, a situation made worse by man-made greenhouse gases, according to a Florida Tech study published in Science.

No surprise. Corals are comparably fragile species and unlikely to survive our hacking about, at least not to flourish but maybe to survive in pockets.
Take plenty of pictures if you scuba near one. They may become collectibles.

Well when the fish are gone too because all of their breeding, nesting and feeding grouds are dead.. and the sea birds dissappear, and the penguins, and seals, and whales - as our human food chain virtually collapses under the weight of a dead sea - then maybe the world will quit worrying about the price of oil and do something. But it will be far too late. This study indicates that it may already be too late to save the snowball from rolling down the mountain.
So eat, drink, and be merry. For tomorrow we shall die.
