the above video is a prime example of what can happen when you modify a fire arm or dont use proper safety precautions

recently i made some modifications to a glock 19 third generation firearm.I changed to connector bar and installed a reduced power striker spring and trigger spring .this was done because im thinking of getting back into completion target shooting.well i developed a problem ,perhaps the trigger spring i ordered was bad but after installing it my safety on the trigger was not working properly it would not reset properly and you could fire the gun by simply applying pressure on the side of trigger in a backward motion with your finger not being across the whole trigger face.this is something you should not be able to do with a glock 19.I took the gun apart yesterday on my day off times and removed the various parts in order to see what the issue was and it turned out to be the trigger spring.while the lonesome cowboy video i posted clearly shows you the best safety you have and keeping your finger off the trigger is the best safety device made accidents if your trying to modify your glock for competition dont use the reduced power trigger spring with the other mods it can cause safety issues..also if you change the striker spring it could cause issues with hard primers and fail to fire.while this is not a big issue in competition except it will hurt your score ,you can use soft primes if you reload or factory ammo that uses soft primers so you should not have a issue.I dont recommend using the reduced striker spring for a carry weapon. I also did a .25 cent trigger job you can find the video easy enough basically your just polishing some contact surfaces,it helps a little , go easy if you decide to do a .25 cent trigger job or you could mess up the parts and create a safety issue with your glock just polish dont take any metal off. also after i got my glock 19 i was unsure as to what holster to buy for it.after seeing a person i know who is former law enforcement demo one of the black hawk serpa style holster he carrys himself i ordered one the next has a very positive gun lock that you release with a very natural movement when you draw and if you prat ice it will not slow you down for competition or concealed carry .mine is the paddle type and i got it more for the gun range but it is also satiable for concealed carry.its all injection molded plastic and is adjustable for angle and even has a Passive retention detent adjustment screw and you can get it on amazon for about 25.00 .I got my glock because the i can work on it and i was looking for a multi use firearm in 9mm because of the low price of ammo ,something i could modify as money allowed for target use but also for carry and as its easy to work on you can switch parts back and forth to suit the need. they are easy to work on and i get a officers discount which saves me about 100.00 on the retail price.I highly recommend that if you make internal changes to your gun you have a separate set of parts for target and competition and keep your gun more stock for carry .
