Ive been reading up on all the news on gangs in brevard county and have yet to see anyone say anything about Melbourne. Before Palm Bay and Viera even exsisted, gangs were in Melbourne. Sure now u have coldside and university that are drilled into peoples heads as being a high populated gang area but people should really worry about the real gangs, not these clique and neighborhood gangs. Back before Melbourne took over the city of Eau gallie there started a gang called Eternal Gangsters. This gang is still very much alive and is one of the only gangs in brevard county that is actual "plugged" and "sanctioned" through a nationally known gang, Crips. All these "hood" gangs are to be watched out for ofcource but in all reality those gangs go no further than the hoods in which they were created. Eternal Gangsters which originated in Eau gallie almost 30 years ago can be found in New York, Los angeles, Chicago, Texas, Indianapolis, and ofcource Florida. In these so called "hood" gangs there is a local leader that calls all the shots, Eternal Gangsters may be told what to do in Brevard county by a higher up in Los angeles. So for all the people that are wondering what gangs should be feared and watched the closest, its honestly not these "hood" gangs. Although these gangs might be violent, when it comes down to true organisation these "hood" gangs really have none. Organisation is what makes a gang powerfull. Drug trafiking from one hood to another is really not a major ordeal, drug traffiking from the most western part of the U.S. To the most eastern part is an ordeal. While local law enforcement are hung up on these small "hood" gangs, a much larger operation is taking place right infront of them. Gangs that are to be truly feared are the ones that dont make themselves known to everyone around. Eternal Gansters is very much alive and will remain under the radar, crimes that are left unsolved are the doings of well organised gangs. True gangs, that believe it or not have "goveners" that control whole gangs in each paticular state. Local law enforcement might one day open there eyes and see the reality of the situation, there's alot more to Brevard county than these little violent "hood" gangs. But I highly doubt it.
