Why do so many people in this town resort to meth? Expecially the younger croud its so dangerious and on top of that completly illegal. Do they not see what their doing to there bodies and their life?

No, they do not see. It is the most addictive illegal substance. And the success rate of overcoming that addiction, is very slim. I'm not too sure of the exact number but something around 95% of people who try to kick the habit, will relapse and become addicted again.

Meth has taken two of my sons. It has taken their kids from them. It has taken them from themselves! No dreams or hopes; stealing, lying, killing, dying. They choose "IT" their family doesn't! Their family has no choice but to cry and stand by and watch the horrible wasting of their whole lives. Theirs and the children they once held in their arms...they now must protect themselves from by sleeping with knives and guns... No family is left untouched! God help us all!

I am addicted to crystal meth. you asked the question do we not see what it does to our lives yes we do but when you are an addict you will continue to use despite the negative consequences. It is a very powerful drug. I can never put in words the way it makes you feel Its has you! there is no getting away. It will always be there pulling at you taunting you. Owning you! Controlling your thoughts your actions. I battle with addiction every day and the past couple months I have been doing good but its still there, the craving, the need. I have a 3 year old boy who unfortunately has to live with it too he has missed out on so much on life because his mommy's an addict and I miss out on a lot too I haven't had custody of my son since he was 2. It tears my heart up when he says mommy's sick. He does have a very sick mommy and that's not fair to him. I love my baby boy with all my heart he is my everything but I wish I wasn't an addict so I can be the mommy I want be to him. The mommy he deserves. I just wish I knew how awful it was before I ever done it. I wish I would've known that it was gonna take over my life. And all it took was one time! That was it. The moment I first snorted meth up my nose I sold my soul to the devil and I want it back. I want my son back. It's so evil how something can take over your whole life. only 1 in very 10 addicts make it. I hope I'm that one out of ten. I don't wanna die from this. I don't want it to win. If you've never done it please don't. PLEASE.

AngelFace, you are more powerful than the demon drugs. Meth tells you it is stronger and you are is a liar. You are strong, beautiful, and have power! Call it out in the name of Jesus and fight for your gift of life...yours and your child's life! You are worth it! There are also drug rehab centers that take mothers and their children together. One is in Hot Springs and another is in Mountain Home. God Bless You.

If you can not take your child, go anyways! Another good one is in Newport. It is Christian based and you go without your child. It is ALL UP TO YOU TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE! You choose. YOU!

I am an addict. However, I was far worse then you. I was shooting meth intravenously. And one day I woke up, looked at myself and my son, and decided, I was changing for him and myself. You can do the same. If you choose to.

What I did was distance myself from all the people that would call me to hang out and party. When they would call I would not answer the phone. This is much easier to do then refuse the drug.

You will also need a safe place to be. Where your "friends" aren't comfortable being. For me, this was with my parents. I knew they wouldn't just show up.

I will not lie and say that it's a cake walk, it is not. It is one of the most difficult things I have been through. You will be severely depressed, you will sllep for weeks, upon months, and you will cry until you feel as if you cannot cry anymore. You will be angry, you will hate everyone around you.

But, if you are stnge enough to make it past off of this pain and misery, one day you will wake up and realize you don't "need' meth anymore, that life is far more beautiful without it.

Good luck and May God bless you and carry you through this journey you are on.

I've also had my family desroted by the devils potion, meth. My son and daughter was caught up in doing the stuff.I was very anfry and hurt by this.I ahd so much guit, and kept asking myself, where did I go wrong in raising them.I tried to help them in so many ways, loosing everything I owned for their savior. One day I finaly woke up.I told myself I did do all the rite things in raising them. They are adults now and this is the path they had choosen for theirselves.I then sat back and watched them hit the bottom. Now they are clean and yes I understand there is still a long road ahead of them.My biggest blessing of all.Is they found god and on the meth is a dead end future.
