General Wahington accepted help from non-citizens, Pulaski, DeKalb, and many others not only fought but were high ranking battle heros that have cities, counties, roads, etc, named after them. That being said though, you are right about being careful about who is allowed in the military. A Muslim soldier who was a citizen killed other US soldiers in Iraq by throwing grenades in their tent while they were asleep. Mexicans in the US military generally do a good job and view it as an opportunity toward citizenship. So background of the individual is more important then if the are a citizen yet or not.

OH Joe, you are so far off base.
My ancestors came here in the late 1890s, ALL LEGAL. My mom came here in 1929 AGAIN A LEGAL IMMIGRANT. ALL of my relatives spoke English and ALL became citizens of their new country within 10 years of settling here. ALL of my relatives worked their asses off, and the men served in the military, proud to be a part of their new country.

Our economy is "sleeping with the fishes", since most of our jobs have gone to India and other 3rd world countries. Illegals have no business here, and taxpayers should not have to support them.

And there are very few blue collar jobs anymore, as we don't manufacture anything here.

If you are referring to the movie, Gangs of New York, the Irish men were sent off into a separate line to fight in the Civil War because wealthy people could buy their way out of the draft.

My father became a citizen before he went to D-Day because he loved his country. He was already married with children, lived here for 24 years and my mom was American. He had no intention of ever returning to his homeland to live. He and his siblings were orphans in a bloody civil war. To stay would have mean't starvation and death. My Aunt stayed behind and died of starvation. There is a human side to immigration. Quit hating people. If some one like Hitler would show up today, bigots such as yourself would blindly follow him. P.S. you'd feel better if you moved out of that hell hole of a town you live in. And don't blame immigrants for Glen Dale Heights problems. It never had that great of a reputation.

I'm just a little bit bitter about the way the militiary treated me... They didnt let me in because I made a few mistakes as a kid, a teenager. I did what teenagers do when they are kids, I smoked some grass. The thing was I was caught doing it 10 times.
Meanwhile someone who has almost no reliable proof of a background can join the military?
The Marines laughed at me because of my pot background but the Army was willing to take me but I couldnt get all the waivers I needed.
It doesnt make any sense to me, only 1-2% of potential recrutes scores over 90 on the ASVAB... Do they want smart people in the military?
Hell If I survived the war I would be training to be an Army pilot right now...Its the militarys loss IMO.

If you were caught doing it 10 times then I guess some people could consider you a pothead; really, I would rather have an immigrant piloting a plane than a pothead, I don't mean any disrespect, but come on.
