act like a bunch of kids, complain all the time about not having this or that...but most of them arent smart enough to use what they do have OR a certain power hungry person there wont let them try to use it.The old bunch we had was great epperson, pashall, dalany, betts, miller...they always did a great job and were called out all over to put out fires...now we run a bunch of vehicles to the fire running atleast twice the speed limit, usually alot more than that...then we get there and most just stand around then theyll have to call milan fire to put it out and they start complaining of thirst and oxygen. Most all calls are in the county, most in city are very minor but you wouldnt know that if you talk to these heros.
Some are good guys, most are lil off and theres too many of them.New mayor gonna take care of em tho, they gonna run this town when he wins is what I hearin...well good luck
Ive lived in medina for years and this group has grown way out of control, most all on here like to be negative on all sorts of medina but personally Id like to see someone manage this bunch.

I would respectfully disagree. From what I see from the outside, the current fire department members do an outstanding job. I do not know the individuals you are referring too, but I do know from what I have seen, the current members of the fire department appear to be very professional.

You will always have some individuals that need to be trained more or removed, but that is with every occupation.

My family is proud of our town, our Police and Fire department.

They are some of the best out there. They do traing every other Monday and as a result our fire rating is really good keeping our insurance rates lower.

Well there Hornets, just what is your insurance rating and how did all that "traing" help it out so much?

Thats soo dumb,if it was true IF they get a full time department will our insurance be free? Especially with all the training, driving the trucks to Rhodes and to Milan to get gas...is not training.
Hopefully if something changes Lance is in charge and he can help that department out.

Your language clearly illustrates your intelligence. My family is very thankful for our fire and police departments. If you think there is such an "issue" with the fire department, then why don't you volunteer as a firefighter and attempt to change the department from within. I suspect you will not.

If not then you should take yourself to church and learn how to be more respectful to yourself and especially others.

Thank you Medina Fire Department for your dedication to protect our city and especially my family.

I agree. Our town should be very thankful for the Fire Department. We live by the high school and observe them on a regular basis training there.

Your statements are just out of order and poor in character. Did you attempt to become a member on the fire department, but was not qualified to do so.....

You are so far removed from reality that you do not have a clue on what you are talking about. I personally know many of the firefighters of our towns department and they take their job very seriously. They care greatly for the safety of our town and its citizens so much, that they are willing to get up out of their beds early in the morning to help anyone; then go home and get ready for work.

They risk their lives to help individuals like you, even after your statements.

There is always room for improvement, but that holds true with any individual(s), department(s) and organization(s).

They are not paid for their service, and from what I hear they are one of the best departments in our county.

While you are probally drinking a beer and watching Jerry Springer, they are taking time away from their jobs and families to assist people.

Get a life and grow up.

They risk their lives and everyone elses by the way they drive, everytime the get a call...just watch them. After Vance wins theres a bunch of us that are going to address our concerns on the current department that we have.Theres just a very few that can act responsible and have the know how of doing that job, hopefully he will eliminate some and clean it up.Chief Rollins is a good man, some of the firefighters need to mature alot before someone gets hurt and sued.

I'm a parent of a volunteer fireman. He goes out at all times of day and night to help others when it is needed. If more people would be willingly to do the same then they might not get one here and run down others until they put their lifes on the line. Everytime a VFF goes out they aren't doing it for money/ they leave their children and spouse not knowing if they will back. It's the same for those in any area that is dangerous. So those who are talking/ put your actions where your mouth is. VOLUNTEER!!!!!!!!!! Praying for all the serve personal and keep on doing your best. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

Only reason they risk their lives is that they are a bunch of blooming retards and dont know how to get out of the way.
