Many of those on the sexual offender list shouldn't even be there. A lot of Romeo/Juliet offenses and they're branded for life. The list provides a false sense of security when about 95% of actual predators is someone the person or child actually knows and not someone random. And remember, it's only for those who've been caught so one should always be leery of perverts, there's always been perverts. A sexual offender list should be only for the worst of the offenders, not some of the stuff I've heard that people had been put on there for, like peeing in an alley.
