While I understand there were many issues reguarding the music program, this past year, I was extremely hurt that in her list of activities our outgoing school board president has attended over the last month, she LEFT OUT our the HEAVILY attended (100+ students) annual Band Banquet. She did this in spite of the large contingency of band students and parents (probably 75% or more of the audience) that were there in hopes of finding out more information about staffing and the future of the band program. I wonder if she realizes how much it hurt for someone who has been so involved with the band, having been in charge of their uniforms and an active band booster to have intentionally NOT at least thanked and congratulated the students for all their accomplishments, including a perfect score in a competetion during the previous month.
