It is not the homeowner's responsibility to determine whether the intruder intends to retreat or is looking for a better place for cover and then start an attack. If someone is in your home you must assume that they have evil intent. They were even carrying deadly weapons. I don't care if he was shot in the back or not. Your home should be considered your "castle". We need castle doctrine in Wa.
