It could cost him his crop, even if it's behind a 6-foot electric fence. And Not Frank isn't completely legal himself.

Marijuana should be illegal. If people feel it should be used for medical issues, it should be dispensed like other dangerous drugs through an accredited pharmacy.

Well...this explains why there's nowhere to go here and not run into a miserable, stupid pothead!!! Come on people...our parents and their parents used aspirin and tylenol for pain. All these potheads really irk me....they can't think straight, finish a sentence or remember what time of day or night it is. If you're not a pothead here it becomes a lonely place to live. Thank God I have people to connect to on the internet because S. Oregon is chock full of numb, lamb brains!!!! Try something new folks....it's called INTEGRITY!!! You do have a dictionary don't you? Look it up!=(

I'd be happy to trade places with you. You might like PA lots of cops everywhere and no medical marijuana law. There is one in the state legislature, but we all know that it will never pass. You may feel safe and secure knowing that all is bought in a store. We even have some pretty strict alcohol laws. Don't get me wrong the drugs are all here just as they are everywhere, but you may be happier going about your day pretending they are not.

Along with alcohol.

Yeah. I remember back when pot was coming out of the slums and gangster hangouts and being adopted by the naive as the latest cool, rebellious thing to do, along with acid. The mantra at the time was "it's no different than having a beer." Which begged the question: why, then, pray tell, don't you have a beer. If marijuana doesn't pull you in and grab you by the buns, then why do you risk arrest to have it on you and smoke it or eat it in your special brownies? Just go have that beer that's "just the same." Give me a break.

Oh, yeah. We had a local "legal" medical marijuana grower just outside our little town. And, just as the rest of us expected, he soon got caught dealing on the side. Human nature is human nature. "Medical" marijuana? And burn all the excess, even though it's worth BIG bucks? Right....

I definately think that people who are suffering from an uncurable disease, and I did say suffering, should have the right to use it. If the last resort is to numb the body and brain I wouldn't want to suffer. But I certainly don't agree with the people who say they have a little pain so they can get a medical marijuana card. Some people should not be numbing the brain for any reason.

Growing the prison system and growing pot seem to run hand in hand. The money already invested by the thousands of law enforcement angles and prison system & court efforts has created a massive industry, along with the Pharma/Corporate lobbying there seems no way drugs produced outside of the controlled marketplace will ever be allowed.

To thesocallednobrainpothead: Let's see. He sounds angry, can't punctuate or spell, can only spew invectives without any facts other than admitting he "smokes a ton of pot" and thinks he is "smart as hell." Yeah, right.

It is a proven medical fact, proven by clinical tests, that smoking pot can reduce your sex drive and ability to "perform." You may THINK you are okay in that department, but it is only the pot fooling your poor brain. For many (I'll admit not all) it is truly a "gateway drug," leading those who are easily addicted (which is a large percentage of the population) to other drugs which are truly dangerous and often fatal. I, too, have heard it is no worse than having a drink. If that is so, have a drink---it at least is not illegal, although it can also be addictive (see Alcoholics Anonymous). I have also heard that some cancer patients who are on chemotherapy and who suffer nausea and inability to keep food down can benefit from therapeutic doses of marijuana as prescribed by their attending physician.

Frankly I can't see the desirability of sitting around getting numb on either pot or liquor. Just seems dumb to me to mess with your brain that way. I'd rather enjoy life and be able to meet what comes without having to fight my way through a haze of drugs or liquor. But that's just me.

"It's not a war on drugs its a war on personal freedom" - Marijuana is one of the least harmful drugs on the planet. The supposed cultural loss among marijuana users is one of the governments main concern. This is a plant, essence and feeling that they obviously cannot control, nor should even try - in the process wasting millions of dollars. "Go bust some meth labs you pussies"

"Accredited Pharmacy" - These are people that would rather you take synthetic brand name "drugs" that only they can dispense - therefore monopolizing the "cure" and ailments to all of our problems - including depression, when all someone might need is to smoke a joint and relax outside the box that we are presented with and kept inside (through culture, government, media and religion).

We live blind and uncaring of how our world is kept afloat - "Live better al Wal*Mart" --- "SafeWay the Ingredients for "Life" -- This is not what we need - Create your own culture - nobody is smarter than you are - just deal with the raw data and come up with your own facts of life.

This is obviously a much bigger issue than kids smoking grass, as they seem to present americas youth heading down the drain with "gateway drugs" - Sorry for the rant, at first i thought thought that this quote was sarcastic- I won't feel dumb if it was - I can't help but wonder how dumb someone would be if it wasn't.:)

It makes me sad to read some of your comments,i am a quadriplegic and a ommp card holder.I am thankfull that i can use a harmless herb when i need to.Yes there are some who scam and use the ommp to break the law but they are vary rare compaired to the thousands that find relief thru this program.I just want people to know that not all cardholders are lazy drug dealers, most of us are just sick people trying to make each day the best it can be.

If it is truly "medical" then have a doc actually write a prescription and get your POT patch at the pharmacy. From the very beginning, medical marijuana has been a thinly disguised attempt to legitimize and legalize maijuana for recreational use. There are over 9,000 people in the Rogue Valley with medical marijuana cards. I thought it was for those suffering from cancer therapy or overwhelming pain. No way we have 9,000 people in the valley with that level of need.

What's a "POT PATCH" never heard of it.
The truth is, pot will be a drain on the pharmaceutical industry. Pot heads require less medication then the general population.

Unlike alcohol and prescription drugs like Oxycontin that are NEVER abused and NEVER cause criminal behavior.

Bwahahahahahahahahaha

I told you, Oregonians cannot hold a single thread of logical thought within their heads.

No, drug companies - which one do you shill for - hate the idea of people using things that they cannot patent and sell for way too much money.

It is always, always, always about right wing fascists and their corporate masters.
