On Mar 17, 2006 an article was done on Roxanne Marek and her pharmacist in Centereach LI NY.
At the end of the article Roxanne makes a statemewnt that "suicide is an option", well on April 10, 2006, she was found dead in her apt. age 50..she committed suicide. I live across the hall from her and was her neighbor.
So sad that not being able to afford her meds, tipped her over to killing herself.
What is wrong with this country??
Pres. Bush, Medicare Part D, is a joke.

I knew Roxanne Marek a long time ago and was very sad when I learned this just the other day. I don't know much about her life in the past few years, but I know she was troubled and I hope she's at peace.

Was this the same Roxanne married to Brian? If so she was a good person and I`ve been searching for her for year. This is not how I expected to find her.

I'm an old friend of hers, also (dating back to high school in Alto, TX), and had trouble thru the years keeping in touch with her. Yes, she was married to Brian. Sadly, I heard of her death from her daughter. I do miss her.

I am Roxanne's Daughter- Still overcome with grief and unsettled. My Mother just didn't see a way out and I didn't understand the complexity of her`desperate situation. I wake with a guilty heart every day. I miss her so much and was just beginning to rekindle our relationship. My brother`and I don't talk since her`death after`we packed up her apartment- the situation has brought so much unbearable hard feelings. I pray for the desperate situation all of these patients are in.

My dearest Kimberly... I believe that when we speak of or think of those who have left us that it is only the physical entity that has gone, but spiritually and emotionally they are not really gone at all.
What you may be calling guilt may be only loneliness...for her voice, for the sight of her physical being, for her not being in the last place you may have associated with her place or the space you remember her last... Guilt? Maybe its the rekindling that was interrupted that is giving you those feeling of guilt? If that is it believe me eternity will give you the chance to rekindle many more times... I miss my mom and dad....but the time to rekindle will come and just knowing that dissolved any feelings of guilt that I also ezperienced when they passed...Please give yourself a break.... you are going through a normal grieving process and you need to hold on as tight as you can to your son and embrace her memory, not her passing... love uncle rog

Did Roxanne spend any time in Pasadena, CA during the 60's?
