Well here we go. According to newsday NYS will be buying up all flood zone unfixed houses and making them undeveloped. NYS will own a portion of our waterfront. And no one can build on it. I bet that throws a big cog in someones wheel. All that planning. scheming. LOL watch as the MBV tries to buy those properties with tax payer money. For the good of the village! This is going to be fun to watch.

a few houses will be offered a buyout. They are not repairable and will be eyesores if not demolished. The homeowners lucky enough to get a buyout will be made whole for losses that they did not properly insure. Nice try saying the village would want those properties. None of them are waterfront by the way. They were built too close to natural wetlands. But, what do I know...

apparently nothing. Your house has to be next to the waterfront or next/in the wetlands. Example: someone 4 houses away from the waterfront wants to get a buyout, the 3 houses in front of them also needs to be bought out or no deal. So yes, houses mostly on the waterfront and in the wet lands will be bought out. If you live a few blocks below elm and your house was destroyed, they don't want it.
But, why can't someone who owns a home on the water have it fixed. If it's damaged beyond repair, why won't the village allow a new structure to be built. Why is the village dragging it out and not letting people get permits to raise and repair their homes? Perfect example is those homes that were destroyed on Riveara. Why can't the village allow them to be raised and rebuilt if the homeowner wants to spend the money to do it. It's no different than SAMs home.
But seeing as how all of this "is personal" according to you, when is Gary going to show us his permits for fixing his marina. They were foiled for months ago. What's the hold up? He did gt them, RIGHT?

You seem to believe that some homeowners who applied for permits to raise their houses have been denied. Really? Why bring up Sam's home? Was his house damaged?

I brought up SAMs house to ask WHY people can't rebuild their homes. If it's destroyed beyond the point of renovating, let them rip it down, and build new if they have the money and want to. As I said, make it look like SAMs. Can't you read?
Any who, yes, the village is dragging their feet with letting people get permits to not only renovate, but to raise their homes. I blame it on the building inspector. oh sorry, we don't have one of those. The "village administrator".
I like how you avoid the main question.... When will Gary show us HIs permits for fixing his marina? Gees, it's been MONTHS since it was foiled for. What's he hiding anyways?

You know what people? To hell with the village. Pull a Rhonda and just build your house as big as you want with as many levels as you want. You don't need to post any building permits, she hasn't, and the village won't stop you. They haven't stopped her yet. Over built the foundation , added another level, added MORE foundation and a nice 2 story addition on the back. NONE of this was in the plans! none of the neighbors were notified and there is NO building permits posted. But does the village stop her? Not at all. But yet someone tries to cut down a tree with a landscaper NOT on the village list and they get fined. Go figure.

Please, don't hurt the trees!

I am not the one to complain to about IF someone has permits. Don't you remember, I don't work for the village?

newsflash dickhead, they let her do what she wants because she helped lied to get a village voted in. You're such an idiot it makes my head spin. Go crawl back under your rock you worm. And again, so sorry about you losing your dock.

no, you just defend them. Just like you defend Gary for NOT getting permits and you defend the village when they harassed Bruce trying to raise his home. YOU were the one saying how he needed the proper permits but yet it's fine when Gary or Rhonda build without posting one. 2 sets of rules! one for village supporters and one for the rest of us.

Actually, there are three...Brady rules. Seriously, if you think your points are valid, why are they not brought up at a village meeting?

they have been. And the response has been..........drum roll please!...... "We'll look into that".
Just keep defending the village. With every f up they make, it makes you look stupid for defending them so strongly. Hope you're not too disappointed on Nov. 1 when nothing happens. But honestly, I could care less about your feelings.

And I just noticed those are your 2 "go to" responses when anyone questions you.
1 wait until XXX date when the judge rules in favor of the village AND
2 why don't you bring that up at a meeting

Typical Brady BS response when you're proven wrong like always.

You must have just read the headline, for if you had read the entire article, you would have known what you are spewing is total horse crap. Anyway, I'll play along...Do you think that NYS would be any better of a steward to " open space" than Suffolk has shown themselves to be ? I personally think its terrible policy to try to depopulate the area, as well as unfair to would be buyers of these properties willing to fix/rebuild and call this place home

they actually believe their own stories. If there was no permit, the DEC would have been all over that building. The animosity is nauseating.

the DEC did jump all over her. Then she decided to go against the dec, like she did when she built that illegal dock that the village ignored, and decided to continue building her house. If you believe for one second the village ISNT turning a blind eye to her and that building, you're crazier than she is.
The villages indifference to her and their friends is nauseating.
