Sorry OMG--but there is so much anxiety on here from the residents that it is good to drift off topic. This thread is ending as they done a decent job on this one.Hey but were a family on here but ashamed we become distant from one another since the onset of the MBV.They became our corrections officers.Probably within a short time they will fence us in and have to file a leave pass to exit. Before this happens they will saturate all the sex offenders and drug rejects here that will be ok"d by the village in the form of rental permits and subsidies.Look around as it is happening quickly since the MBV onset. This is the only vision that was shown to me to be happening. Many thanks to the elected officials and Tim for bringing MASTIC BEACH forward.{but totally in the opposite direction.

Saturday morning at six o'clock my road was passable. shortly thereafter I was out and about and no impassable roads could be found in MB. Thanks for doing a great job ! I think we fared much better than if B'haven had been doing the plowing. The ANTI's must be apoplectic...lol

Whoopsing --First I want to clarify is that I am not anti village.I did give a thumbs up for the road cleaning.I wish I could give them a thumbs up for most other sectors of there village business. If this is the most positive thing that was done in there 3 years in office than its bye bye to all of them.Another joke is as someone prior said was the street sign dilemma.Just think you call the village office for a code enforcer to file a complaint. With the amount of signs missing they will not even know where they are going. Most everything they done or touched upon has gone in the negative direction.Ok lets clap for the 1 thing the snow plowing huhray, huhrah.Sorry but in general or any which way I lived it,they totally failed the residents of Mastic Beach to the visions that won them the election to incorporate Mastic Beach.Again I am an unbiased to either having or not having a village.

The snow plowing went very well but lets see what will happen when the rain comes and the catch basins in the road back up because they were never pumped out by the village.
And they had to do a good job on the plowing because they blew it with the Sandy storm clean up and the repaving of Riviera Dr and the DEC.
Now they are in a big rush to replace the street signs with peel and stick decals on 4x4 poles like they did on Neighborhood Rd.
Why the big rush? Gary and the board are pushing all this because its election time in March.
Vote for Carol and Nick, Carol has the knowledge and Nick is not a Stiriz family member and still has a open mind.

Carol is running and I signed her petition as well as will get my vote.I will vote for anyone but Gary.I am so desperate to see a change that it could be a cadaver with a name on the ticket and BINGO it got my vote. The feeling must be mutual as this thread has been going on since oct4 with 857 posts by mostly resident dissatisfaction.Even the caption states for his resignation.Goodbye and good luck

Oh please. Neighborhood rd still looks awful. I drove to other towns around us and they were much better than here. I agree, if THIS is their best after 3 years, then they suck even more then I ever believed possible.

Yet we still have 18 Level 2 and 3 sex offenders (sorry P.I.Brady not sure where you got your 5 number from but D.O.J. website has 18)over 30 Level 1 and just as many shitty Section 8 renters as we had before the village. Our roads are plowed but our village is home to more dirtbags now than before the village. We have less businesses on Neighborhood Road and once the snow melts you can see how the sides of the roads are a mess. Composted leaves and other crap from Irene and Sandy are encroaching on the roads making our already tiny streets even smaller. You cannot have two cars pass on most of streets since we have become a village because of lack of maintenance. Also there are huge mud ruts from the giant utility trucks. Many are left over from Irene. Stop patting yourselves on the back for doing what you are supposed to be doing. This is your job. You promised less sex offenders, less section 8 renters and a cleaned up Neighborhood Road. We have gotten none of that and a lot of BS about what a good job you do cleaning up the storms. Who cares clean up the mess already. We were fine with the TOB doing our roads.

whatever Zany Z. Keep defending even though we all have eyes to see for ourselves. The snow will finally melt and I'm sure Gary will take credit for that also. One or two more storms like this and the village should be around a million in debt, not just half a million as we are now.

I was very happy with the quick response and great job done..In prior years the Town of Brookhaven did a lousy job of plowing my road.

i wish they would have salted and sanded though because when they plowed they left giant speedbumps of snow in the intersections. if they had salted and sanded, then that would have been gone yesterday. now it is just a hazard of ice at night.

I drove around yesterday out of the area and basically they done a better job here than elsewhere.Again this is not enough to substantiate this villages existence. They did not listen to the voice of the people as it was brought up over and over and over again.Do not change now as it is to late for you the present staff. So here are the accomplishments for the village since its onset 3 years ago 1]they did a good job on the roads clearing the snow from the storm dated 2/9/13.2]??3]??.Now here are the failures of there 3 year term 1]Did not reduce the slumlords and the residents complaints or quality of life issues.2] more rentals than ever.3][Though it is the full responsibility of the trustees that this is happening we have paid officials that are even a bigger failure to correct it.When you file a complaint or request to speak to SHREK{THE OGRE} he avoids all the complainers and could care less about the hardships that they are enduring.SHREK has got to go.4]Giving no bid contracts to family and friends without the homeowners knowledge and consent.5]Have to many close family members working in the same office together.[that is a no no]6]having only interest in self enriching themselves instead of bettering the neighborhoods and its residents.7]Turning the tide on we will all be involved in decision making to back door meetings leaving and humiliating the residents to sit outside there playpen and have absolutely no say or feedback in the matters at hand.8]Took away everyones right to free enterprise by hiring contractors of there choice from the type of work to the price the homeowner wants to pay for that perticular job.I spoke with many high referenced contractors and they refuse to pay the extra $100 to the village because they already pay suffolk county a fee.I do not blame them.By limiting our competition your limiting us to more higher prices to pay which overcompensates there $100 fee.9]Sending out contrators to do road work that are totally incompetent to the laws set by the EPA which still may inflict heavy fines on the already financially strained owners of Mastic Beach.10]Making the lawyer interupt every question that cannot be answered by the so called elected officials at the meetings.
I know it is not an easy task trying to put your life on hold trying to run a village but the entire present staff has failed most every homeowner that is not part of there clique.I again am not anti village and did commend you on the 1 accomplishment you did in your 3 year tenure but there is something seriously wrong with the rest of the picture.Sorry but we need a new beginning with new leaders and more competent ideas on both fixing up the mess you created and setting us on a prosperous path to a better village.

Some of the names listed are the same person, using an alias. And, there aren't 15 level 3's which is what I posted. Besides, it really doesn't matter what I say or post on here. I can't wait for the petitions to be submitted. I even saw HF has now posted he just found out about the election and wants more time to gather signatures because of the blizzard. The election is on 3/19/13 which is one day before I heard he is going to be put away.
