the truth is out there

At the work session tonight they approved replacing street signs that are missing with ones like they have on Neighborhood Rd.
Carol asked if the signs could be taller because the ones on Neighborhood Rd are hard to read.
Mayor Bill told her that the new peel and stick signs will be easier to read because they are all reflected and not like the old ones.
Gary's nephew brought in samples to show the board, they are green and white like the ones on Neighborhood Rd.
So we are getting the same signs that are on Neighborhood Rd but just more reflected.
And the Board agreed, all but Carol who still thinks they will be hard to read at night.

I think we should get a suggestion from Carol since it seems anything the board does she disagrees with. Maybe she should research a better and less costlier sign.

Just like Brady!
But she is right the signs on Neighborhood Rd are to low and hard to read at night, and people have been complaining about them ever since the village put them up.
So why are they wasting our money on the same type of signs for the village that can't be read.
Could it be an election coming up?

The signs suck! People read left to right not top to bottom.

She had months to suggest the signs be made taller - she waits until the day of the vote. Go away quietly, please.

She made the suggestion to the board at the beginning of 2012 after people complained to the board about not being able to read the new signs the DPW put up on Neighborhood Rd. She also said the new signs should be from left to right. Bill said he would look into it with the DPW and Gary and they have done nothing but talk about it ever since.
If you go on the meeting minutes you can trace it back.
Last month at the work session Carol said lets do this right and start in the heart of the village and work our way out replacing the signs with nice ones instead of a temp repair that would have to be replace again anyway. but the board said this had gone on to long and voted for the temp signs, probably because people have been complaining long enough and the election is coming up
So sorry you can't blame Carol on this one.

maybe they should replace the signs with ones that people can read. Like the ones that the TOB had. OR, take her suggestion and make them taller! Oh I see, if Carol suggests it, it s wrong. How many thousands is Gary's nephew getting for these stupid signs?

and the board had YEARS to change them after the very first one was put up and people started to complain. I'm sorry, but the only ones not listening are the rest of the trustees and mayor. Thanks Carol for speaking for the people and not Gary's family.

Why do they blame everything on Carol, she's the only one that hears what the people have to say.
And remember to vote for Gary's team. They got the new signs up, you can't read them, but they can say we got them up and they saved you money by using Gary's family and buying cheep signs.
What a joke this village is.

our street signs are the wrong color. in nys the signs need to be a green background with white lettering, not the other way around. all you have to do is go to the nys regulations for street signs handbook. it is a really easy thing to find. i found it in less than a minute of research. why do the village officials insist on doing what they want? they never do their research. it is just incompetent.

You cannot read those signs at night. Whether they are tall or not they are unreadable. If those idiots are putting up more of the sign posts like neighborhood road they should be run out of the village permanently. I mean really just get regular street signs that go up high enough on the utility poles so no when can steal them.

I bet the kids will have a field day with a baseball bat and an open car window knocking those posts down like mailboxes.

No need to re-invent the wheel. Anyway whenever MBV tries to re-invent the wheel they try by making it square. Not so smart.

Carol wanted them to do regular signs last year, and asked if we could get signs like Patchogue. But when asked at a work session by Mayor Bill Tim said they bought a pallet of 4x4 poles last year and want to use them like they did on Neighborhood Rd.

its ok because when we get fined, or the signs get destroyed, DHS can get the no bid contract again and suck the taxpayers once again. It's win win for Gary's family!

let me guess who they bought them from? Was that part of the 400,000 dollars that the village has paid to Gary's nephew in no bid contracts?
400,000 dollars in a year and a half! WOW is all I can say! I wish I was related to Gary!

No they went to Home Depot and put it on someones credit card the one they were told not to use anymore after he left.
That person canceled the card but someone in the village restated it and the village was using it.
When that person found ouy they called the Mayor and mayor Bill told them that the card would be paid off, and it was by the village and the card was re canceled by the owner.
That is why they wee talking about getting a new card at the work session last month.
You just can't trust them.

We won't see street signs before this election. There are too many missing. When asked at a work session how many signs they needed, Gary had no idea and said it didn't matter. Now does that sound like we will be getting those signs. They have no idea how many must be replaced. Unbelievable! How can you run a village like that?

You can't, that's why it's not working with these clueless B/S people in there.
