Freddy graduated in 1962. He is either 66 or 67....not 65 as some guess. So he must retire by age 70. State Law. 3 or 4 years and Freddy will be history.

Here we go with these dumb polls. Face it, he's in another 6 years and there's nothing you can do. He just signed a 6 year contract, not even a month ago. I don't like it either, but what can you do?

The children have the best services available to them then they have ever had. No child is left out or goes hungry. There are before/after school programs, clubs, and the list goes on. The kids also show much more responsibility than they did years ago.

Can you please show where in the law it says you must retire by 70? He will work until the end of this latest contract. Work with him, or hurt the kids. I'll get over it and work with him to benefits the kids. It is about THEM after all.

A school commitee has the power to fire/suspend/terminate without ANY NOTICE a person who has a six year contract or sixty year contract with the school department. The person may go to court for a reversal of this. But the General Court of Massachusetts gives the School Commitee broad powers in the 351 cities and towns of Massachusets to CONTROL education to terminate individuals for "just cause"...example stealing....using school personel for work on private property.....using school materials in a private home...borrowing school air conditioners for a private home....etc..etc...

I am so happy for him. I hope he retires and gets a huge retirement party with lots of people in attendance. I hope there are millions of pictures of him in the newspapers and Stat wears a party hat.

My child is getting a great education, that's all that matters to me. I don't care if he steals 2 million air conditioners.

Guess it depends on the child. Mine is getting high honors, taking ap courses and doing excellent. We couldn't be happier at EHS.

Freddy keeps his job by hiring the wives, sisters, sons, nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends of the school committee. It's that simple folks. In the other 350 cities and towns, the School Committee controls the Superintendent. In Everett, the Superintent controls the school committee.

Who keeps setting up these idiotic polls? When will Freddy exit? When will Freddy be fired? How about when will Freddy have to see a dcotor immediately if he's taken Viagra and experiences an erection for four or more hours? Mother of God, give it a rest. There are much more important topics to discuss like noisy motorcycles and parking space/snow shoveling/lawn chair protocol. Stick to the issues that matter. Sheesh.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Capricorn

The detail-oriented Moon in Virgo is extremely supportive and helpful, so it feels good to know that you can count on some support. You may know just where the help is coming from, but with communicative Mercury all over transformative Pluto in your sign, maybe you're being looked after by your very own guardian angel. Don't let this encourage you to take foolish risks or overstep the mark.
