Maybe she can hang out with the retired cop that did this a couple of weeks ago.

They would make a cute couple of alcoholic idiots.

Look at all they have in common.

She works for the Henrico school system, I think as an elementary teacher, possibly preschool.

Mrs. Phillips is a dear person with a love for children. Did she make a poor choice? Yes. Will this define her as a person? I hope not.

She is a school teacher and has worked with my daughter going to preschool on several occasions. I'm not tripping off it, she made an honest mistake but it's my job as a parent to set a better example for my kids. Right now my daughter would be too young to understand. Now it'd be different if that was the bus driver.
We all have fun, and/or we all have stress and character flaws that come from our lifestyles.I'mn hoping she doesn't lose her job but learns from this and is more careful next time..and right now I'm drinking to that...LOL

It was not a mistake; it was a violation of state law.

More careful next time????

She was driving with an open container! I guess you want her to use a straw?

Alcoholics need to start paying for their stupidity!

The 2 most recent fools are a good place to start. Both are people of “authority” that knew what they were doing was breaking the law.

Occupation does not matter.... This lady almost killed several people.. I was there on the road that night... It's not like she had one to many, she was abliterated... I bet instead of hitting the cop if she would have hit your car with a kid in it you would have a problem with it then... An alcoholic is an alcoholic 7 days a week... What other laws may she be breaking... More will come out about this but you don't need to defend someone because of their occupation when she almost killed several crew workers standing in the road doing their job sober

I am also a teacher and more importantly a mother. I don't care if she is teacher of the universe and is wonderful and caring with her students. What she did is inexcusable. It doesn't matter if she is an alcoholic or not, that is not the issue. The issue is: driving under the influence is lethal. Perhaps Ism and CBr would change their opinion if their family member or child were injured at the hands of her so called "mistake." You are insane for even attempting to defend her.
Luckily the police officer and construction workers were able to make it home to their families that night!

No one knows if someone is alcoholic except for that person. Further, if she is an alcoholic she deserves help, not hate. In the meantime, lets hope this was a wake up call for her.

Let's hope they take her license and fine her the max.

There is no excuse for what she did!
