So how many flashlights were taken? Just the ones that were issued to them or did they steal a box of them?

Just for the record the supply sgt. gave the lights to these guys, as he could not turn them back in, because they were considered expendible. There were NUMEROUS other soldiers that were given lights that were not pursued.

Some of the lights were also given to Waynesboro police.. Interesting that someone who thought they were stealing something, would give them to the police. If the lights hadn't been sent home, they would have been left in Iraq and likely would have ended up as souvenirs for the locals. Instead, we prosecute these guys. Sad.

Yes, it is very sad. This was in no way, shape or form "stealing". When something is given to you, it is not stealing. Plain and simple. But, Feds can twist and turn anything into a "conspiracy".
