Prendergast's comments regarding Patterson speak volumes about her lack of qualifications, both personal and professional, to be a judge. Judges are paid every day to "split those hairs". If she doesn't understand or acknowledge the significance of something as basic as the difference between a finding of error versus a finding of misconduct, she has no business on the bench. Apparently she would have the same difficulty distinguishing between "innocent" and "not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt." Under the law, these concepts are worlds apart, just as Predergast's and Patterson's qualifications are worlds apart.

Sandra Thompson tried to rob me as she runs for Judge on my small court case charging me 600.00 for a 10 min hearing in front of DJ advising me to do a continuance then wanted to charge me another 1500.00 for a 5 min pre trial conference. I guess she had to keep that payment plan with her mortgage company!

Reality Check is right on with regard to Prendergast. As a judge, you are required to "split those hairs." Superior Court has yet to rule on Uhler's ruling, with which the DA's office disagreed vehemently. The other Democratic candidate, Johnson, is regarded as inept by her peers. So Patterson and Ness get my vote.

If you think this is bad, you should have had to appear before Judge Roy Bean, back in the day. Her charged my uncle Bubba, all of his dreams as a bonus after he was paid 10 grand.

Pendergast and Thompson better get their financial houses in order first. If the IRS can harrass a common blue collar joe like me then they better get after the candidates that owe as well!

An inability to split hairs reveals an inability to dissect legal principles and make legal rulings. Prendergast is not qualified to be a judge and she never will be.

If you care to read the Hummert case, Judge Uhler describes "the Commonwealth's knowing failure" since you want to split hairs, the word "knowing" makes it misconduct. I guess you can not run for Judge either. I think Kathleen Prendergast was right.

Chuck Patterson is a helluva prosecutor and an even better person. For those of you who don't know him, his integrity and dedication to the legal profession are unmatached by any other candidate. Ms. Prendergrast's weak attempt at smearing his reputation says more about her than it does about him. Besides, it is no secret that Judge Uhler consistently comes down on the prosecution, and the Hummert case was just another opportunity for him to give a "better than thou art" monologue. Don't even get me started on Sandra Thompson. This text box is not big enough to cover that story. Patterson and Ness are the only clear and feasible choices.

Ness dated his problems at 1981. In 1985 his check to us from an estate account bounced and we later read about drug charges in the newspaper and we had an "aha" moment.

How honest can you be and still be a lawyer; that is as laughable as objective journalism! Patterson may not be a saint but as far as lawyers go, he is the Pope!

If you read Uhler's ruling then you obviously read the transcript from the trial when Patterson brought out the facts of the plea while he was questioning the witness...who was also cross examined by defense counsel...all which took place before Uhler. When you are sentenced to jail for the rest of your life, you will grasp at all kinds of straws to get out...just like when you run for judge. Good try Prendergast.
