Just curious about the selection of yet another male candidate. Are the female deputy wardens ever considered - do they not apply? What's the story?

"Keen rose through the ranks and work at county prisons in Clinton and Bedford counties in Pennsylvania and Montgomery County, Md."

I love the grammar!

Don't most normal people spend their lives trying to stay OUT of prison?

Already the Franklin County child molesters are chiming in with their worthless opinions. Resident experts on any subject posted on here.

Maybe there won't be as many murderers set loose now to kill civilians. It could be a step closer to public safety for all of us. Lord knows the last warden didn't give a damn.

What barn do you live in? It's not the Warden that decides who is cut loose..it's the Judicial system.....the Judge sets the sentences. When it's time to leave it's time to leave. The Warden just doesn't decide today you can go........get educated!

This is perhaps the most illiterate, uneducated post I have seen yet from the unwashed masses.

Go back and shovel more cow excrement.

The Warden maintains the jail that maintains custody of inmates. He (or she, for the feminist poster) has no say in the release of an inmate. That is up to either the Court acting through the parole authority vested by statute, or the inmate simply serves all their sentence.

End of Corrections 101 moron.

As to the new Warden: best wishes. You have a JOB ahead of you.

I thought the same thing and also if he is coming from having a previous good job in the STATE corrections system and the benefits that come with that, what would make him want to leave that State job for a job that hasn't even agreed on the pay. Something sounds weird.... Guess we will have to look him up on AOPC records or wait for the any existing rumors to float in if there is any dirt on him. Overall, it would be nice to hear a statement from him publicly of why he wants to do this change
