Why do people thank military personal for their service? They received a pay check is that not their thank you for a job done. It is not "service" they are not doing it for free, they get paid so it's a job like any other. The most common reply I hear is because or the danger and low pay, if this is true then should I be thanking the clerk down at the 7-11 store? If they did it for free then it would be "service" and could understand the idolization. Also why does everyone that has seen combat call themselves or others call them "war veterans"? There has not been a single war veterans since WW2 has there been a war war veteran. That is the last time the USA ever declared war. We have veterans from "police actions" and "operations" but not one single war accept for 1945 and before.

Gerrr obviously had not paid any attention to history. My husband is ill with agent orange poisoning you moron. Just because the U.S did not declare a war does not mean that the men and women who fought were not war veterans. You are the kind of people who when shtf will run to those veterans and service people to protect your stupid ass. These young people today only care about games and cell phones and know nothing of reality and who they owe their freedoms to! I thank you all for you service and God Bless you!

I think you people are misunderstanding the question. I'm in no way trashing or disrespecting our military. I'm asking precise logical questions on verbiage and concepts. "You are probably the clerk. Now get back down in your mom and ads basement." You assume a lot and lower your self Sir. "Just because the U.S did not declare a war does not mean that the men and women who fought were not war veterans." That is EXACTLY what it means. "You are the kind of people who when shtf will run to those veterans and service people to protect your stupid ass. " I would never call anyone for help, it is my job to protect me and mine. "These young people today only care about games and cell phones and know nothing of reality and who they owe their freedoms to!" I don't even own a cell phone or play games and I'm not young.

LOL actually to those people saying that veterans fought for my freedom of speech. Tell me how the that is true? They didnt fight for any freedoms and I think it's stupid how we idolize murderers. Yes I called them murderers.

Two thoughts come to mind - a blanket party and then frag'em.
