Debbie,
I have a Section-Range-Township Map I can email you. That shows the locations of the various units of Show Low Pines. Show Low Pines has 10 Units. All are roughly 1 square mile except Unit 7 wich is 1/2 square Mile. The units are not contiguous, they are scatters across an area that is 8 miles North to South and 7 miles east to west. There are other Platted "subdivisions" in the area as well, including Show Low Park and Show Low Paradise which all total comprise less area than all of the combined Show Low Pines Units. The majority of the land in this roughly 50 square mile area is open range where cattle run free.
i would like unit 2 and 3 lots map please...i know where my lot is in unit 3...i still have to find out what lot number in unit 2 is..thx much...troytman40@hotmail.com

I am trying to research and find as much info as possible on Show Low Pines, Arizona (Apache County). My aging Mom owns 4 lots there (Unit 10 - various lots). Her taxes on each piece of property has near tripled this year. We are trying to find out what is happening in the area that is making the property value go up so much.
We have not been there for many years and have little knowledge of the area now.
Can anyone help me out? I have done several yahoo and google searches but can not find an area map for Show Low Pines (Only for Show Low).
Have seen some blogs but they give little info and seem to conflict in knowledge. Last we were there it had little anything around there, sounds like the area is growing and becoming more popular???
Thanks to anyone who can help me learn more and research the area for my Mom.
Hi Debbie, I live in Show Low pines, unit 10, and I have a map of the area - close to me. I would be happy to help you with what ever you might need. What are the lot numbers that your mom owns? I happen to know of a friend who is looking to move here, and I could get you in contact with him. This area is rough, no water, no electric(depending on where u are) and very rocky.(No grassy lawns.) But if you like being remote, with little or no visitors, this is the place for you. Taxes in Apache county went up, as this is the poorest county in Arizona. There are very few businesses here, and equally as few homes, for tax income. It is not a very desirable place like navajo county, so since there are few of us, we pay the burden. But even so, taxes are cheap compared to many places. Growth here is at a snails pace, with roads rarely maintained unless you call and complain. On the roads that have no residences, there is no maintenance at all. Most require 4 whl drive. But for me, it is perfect, because I like my privacy. Let me know if I can help more, and what lots your mom has, in the event she wants to sell. I would be happy to take pictures of your moms lots, and email them Barb

Yes you have it right.
I have ten acers in show low pines, I left my 34 ft travel trailer up there and it was vandelized by some scum bags.
They removed the door and stole the refridgerator and oven/stove
The propane tanks, and much more of our lives.
Some real dirt bags have moved into that area.
What a shame, I was going to build a retirement home there someday.
Now I say F it... let show low...Burn!!!

I live just outside the area of unit 10. There are lots of good, decent people who live here. The land in different areas is going up in price because of people (from out of the area) who are willing to pay crazy prices which (compared to where they are from) are cheap to them. The land right next to me sold for 6 times what I paid for mine. And with that dumb buyer....up went my taxes.

As utlities make their way back there to unit 10, costs go up. there are phone lines back to unit 10 now and once electric reaches that far out expect costs to go up more. i used to live back there in unit 10 7 years ago and i hope to go back once i retire. im looking at a 1 acre lot on county road 8300 which they are asking too much for. much of the land is rough, covered in boulders, and unable to perc. But i plan on a grey water system and a compost toilet once i build so not a big deal for me...:)

Do NOT move to Apache County. 2/3 of the county is reservation and the remaining 1/3 must bear the tax burden for all. The 2/3 reservation pays no taxes but get most of the funding because the Board of Supervisors is comprised of........2/3 reservation members. They run the show. Do not move anywhere that has a majority of its population on a reservation. They are nice people, but they drain a taxpayer dry. Local officials in Apache County are all related to one another leaving the public in a less than desirable position as well. Try N.M in the southern end. Nevada, Utah, Idaho. Not Apache County.

Sorry, they need better investors and folks to monitor the Lots and notify the owners. What about Park Show Low, it seems safer closer in and home owners near by. I will purchase your lot if you have not sold it. Thank you
