Best tribute band | Bon-Journey

Obviously whoever wrote this article has never actually seen this band. These guys suck with a capital S. The singers the only one whos half decent, but then again he's still kind of average. Another reason why I never trust the press. I'm not sure if that was an online poll or what, but if it was, it's very easy for a band member or follower to spend hours voting over and over again to pull of the win. Theres gonna be some highly disappointed people in Pittsburgh who will go to see this band because of the article and end up with a steaming pile of shit in thier ears.

I hate to be negative. I am not a musician and respect those who go on stage to entertain. My wife and I went to a show on Bon-Journey and I have got to say I have to say I have seen Much Much better cover bands or tribute acts in the city of Pittsburgh. If anything Bon-Journey is OK at best, it seems there older guys who like to have fun recreationally. which is great but to place a statement on a band such as them is not right considering there is way better talent out there. just my 2 cents, Terry, Noblestown Rd Pittsburgh

The City paper is a JOKE anymore, I mean who actually reads it? Velvetta makes Bon-Journey looks like total amateurs as does numerous overall bands in the Pittsburgh area. Best tribute band, I wonder how many votes Bon Journey entered themselves cause I have never ever heard anything remotely good about them.

It's about time someone blows the lid off that band. Those guys are just plain foul. I could forgive the fact that they look like they all belong in personal care homes, if in fact they were talented. But simple truth is their not!!! The only thing cool about them is thier concept, and thier lack of talent just makes them look like baffoons. These guys play at the Rhytym House, which makes me believe that the place has become desperate for acts. That place used to have great bands, and now thier reduced to the likes of these no talent morons? Shame Shame!!! Despite what the city paper says, I definetely do not recommend this band. I agree, you can tell the CP didnt do thier homework on this one...

Couldnt agree more with these posts. Its a shame too cause I love both Jovi and Journey. But yes, the band is pretty terrible. Completely lifeless!

What's with all this bashing and hate? I have seen them a few times and I will be honest, they should be doing other music, not such beloved music as Journey or Bon Jovi. I am not bashing them, it takes guts to go up there and do that so for that I repsct. But find another gig, like maybe polka becuase at the end of the day Bon-Journey is giving love a bad name!

I agree that it does take guts to get up there. but it also takes bigger guts to know when you just flat out stink and bon journey does! also, going back to the top of the page to the assumption of them voting for themselves. i think you may be onto something there! im good freinds of the owner of one of the clubs they play in the south hills area who told me that the keyboard player has bragged on several occasions that they sat around for hours trying to vote themselves in. Pretty pathetic. I suppose its that kind of attitude and bs that is killing ther reputation, as well as there lack of talent:(

Bon Journey is not nearly as talented or as good as Glitz. I don't see how a band gets voted the best tribute band in Pittsburgh when a band like Glitz are way better musicians. Bon Journeys drummer does not even play the music correctly! If your going to be a tribute band, you may want to have somewhat talented musicians... PEACE!

Interesting that this thread grew as large as it did. I have a friend who lives in Pittsburgh and that's how I went to see them. When we went together, I must say that for a band that doesn't have any real talent in the band, they were quite arrogant. I mean, back up the arrogance with SOMETHING. I did manage to also see a Pearl Jam tribute band up there and they were amazing. That band is what a tribute band should be!

I saw Bon Journey when thay had a different singer and he was good! I have seen them 3 times and every time there was a new person in the band. Their a bunch of old guys playing bon jovi and journey, I think the night we were there the band got into an argument or something, it would have been cool had they done like other songs, half of the songs we didnt know, cause were young I guess..

i saw them like a year ago and I thought they were decent. then i saw them again about a month ago and i have to agree with these posts. pretty emberassing to watch. the new lineup in the band was dreadful. what a shame, they had potential

Please!!! Don't confuse that great Canadian band called Bon-Journey with the joke that the Pittsburgh-based band is. They are two totally different bands with the same name. The Canadian one sounds amazing. the Pittsburgh one lacks any life or substance.
