That's like asking if a cop is a snitch no. You choose to go after people is a career. A snitch is a servant
there is no income for you its snitch or you are locked up. Bounty hunters detectives cops guards bondsmen trainer and make a business for themselves going after lawbreakers :-)

I believe bounty hunters get paid cash/check, snitches do not get paid, they just get out of jail free.

Lol, well, if you are friends with someone you bounty hunted, yes they will call you a snitch. If you are sent after someone you don't know, then you probably won't be called a snitch. Being worried about being called a snitch is the least of your worries when messing with these types of people.

Not a snitch more like a repo man for the jail instead of a car lot.

Exactly babygirl! A bounty hunter is paid to go out and locate people who have jumped bond and deliver the bond jumper into custody. The bond jumper has defaulted on a bond.

A reopo man is paid to go out and locate cars from people who have stopped paying the bank or finance company.

Regardless of a repo man or bounty hunter - the person being repo'd or bounty hunted is in the wrong - they signed a contract and promised to pay for the car or show up in court.

People who are too sorry to live up to their commitments will always cry snitch or some other derogatory term when they get caught.

Screw them - your word should be your bond. Stealing is stealing and if you do the crime, shut the f&^k up and do your time.

I never noticed this thread before but I can tell you that if you want to be a successful bounty hunter you need to move to a more populated area. I have my license and top notch gear and it seems to be a big waste as I will have to travel a great deal to make it a real job. Traveling isn't altogether bad but by the time you take out gas and motel expenses you cut way into profits. I am basically just sitting on my badge until the occasional local job comes up. To be truly successful you will be better off opening your own bail bonds office.

And I will echo what someone else said about not being a bounty hunter if you are worried about what others will say. Its not a job where people will ever look forward to seeing you or have anything good to say about you. We are after criminals who cares what their opinion is?
