Two 16 year old boys. One was awake and talking when transported, the other was having trouble. Would really like an update on how they're doing.

Pray they make full recoveries!

Greetings from Michigan. My son is friends online with the boys and has talked with one of them. That one was home on Monday, has a concussion but seems to be recovering well. The other was still unconscious last we heard on Monday, but haven't heard any news Tuesday.

I have been looking myself and can't find any news. I drove up on it after the FD had got them out of the car. Care Flight was loading 2 people in the Lighthouse parking lot. There was also an older man standing on the corner by a wrecked RV talking to police. He looked very upset and worried. He might have been the RV Driver. The Yellow Escape was upside down in the ditch. I could be wrong, but it appeared the RV was Northbound 2478 (Custer) and the Escape was Eastbound Prosper Trail. The passenger side of the Escape was crushed inward and the RV had heavy damage on the front, so the Escape might have pulled out in front of the RV and got hit, then flipped into the NW ditch.Prosper has been trying to get a light in and TXDOT is onboard, but McKinney refuses to share any cost,so they are holding that up,go figure. McKinney ETJ,but not a care when it comes to maintaining anything.

Most of what WAC and Kevin said was correct, except the Escape was hit on the drivers side. Passenger is home as of Monday. The driver is still in ICU in a coma fighing for his life. Not really sure exactly how it happened or do I care, except that you can be sure that I will do everything possible to influence McKinney to immediatly do their part to have a light put in. It would be incledibly irresponsible to have anyone injured the way my son (the driver) has been. Please pray for him!

This is daughter of the Motorhome driver involved in the accident on Sunday, my family is praying for your son & passenger. My father & brother in law are truely devastated and are hoping for him to come thru. They have given trooper contact info to give to you to see if they can hand a helping hand or just get updates.

I saw the accident and was one of the first to the vehicle. We are praying for your son and asking everyone we know to do the same. Please keep us posted - seems like a great kid from a great family and as a father I can't imagine how you must feel. I pray God grants you and your wife peace and strength as your son recovers.

Thank you all for the prayers. Let me see if I can help with some of the questions. Kevin, if your son is not already friends on facebook have him search him and send request. My wife is using it to communicate with his friends. Watching over-I did not receive that info from the trooper. Call the trooper and ask him to call me (he told me he would do anything at all to help) If you do not have his number his office is in the dps office in McKinney. Co-worker-I will be calling store manager tomorrow and giving complete update. John-thank you for your actions at the site. I was told if not for the early arrivals he never would have made it. Quick update- He is still in a coma but did slightly respond to some physical therapy today, very small step but in the right direction. Most of all, thank you all for your prayers. They are so much more powerful than anything the doctors can do for him. Thanks again for all the support please continue to aid in his recovery. I will include all of you in my prayers as well. God Bless you all.

Not sure if anyone is still following this thread, but I wanted to send an update. Blake has continued to improve. He is medically stable and we will be taking him home on the 28th. He will continue his therapy outpatient but he is making incredible strides. We have been blessed by his recovery. We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and God Bless.
