I remember all the stories about poor young Mr Sanders & what a great guy he was and so terrible that he was murdered.

Then it turns out to be a bunch of meth heads. Who gives a rip about these losers & users? Too much newsprint has been wasted about him already.

Sander's was a meth freak when he bit it. Say all you want, the coroner put in his report that the meth in his system was extremely high. Sander's was a scumbag.

just because someone does drugs doesn't make them a bad person. He was a victim and left behind a young child. you should be ashamed to take joy in someone elses death even a tweeker. I bet you have drug addicts, and people with unsavory characteristics i your family, bet you wish they were dead too.

there are "bad" people in this world. he was one of them. he might have done a few nice things in his life, but overall it appears that his impact on society was more negative than positive.

let us not forget that he had already been in prison before he was 30. i'm sure he committed tons of other crimes that he never got caught for. crimes against people and their property. society as a whole would deem him as a bad person.

it is unfortunate that he died. luckily they found the other bad people that killed him. now the world has 5 less "bad" people. hopefully his child will beat the researched odds and not end up in prison like his father..

He was incarcerated in '03 for possession of a large amount of marijuana trim while driving on a suspended license, and vandalizing a widescreen LCD television worth a couple thousand dollars with his foot at a guy's apartment who somebody ran into for shelter that had punched him in the back of the head while he was sitting at the bar drinking on his birthday. The offer was put out to him to make ammends and pay for the television before charges were pressed and he didn't follow through with the agreement. I know because I was asked to mediate the situation. The television owner did the right thing because a civil claim like that must have a police report to go by.

A lot of you say that this trial is a waste of time but I think it is a real lesson to all who observe it to stay away from Meth and the people who are addicted to it. The users of the drug have had negative impacts on my life beyond measure and I have never even tried the damn drug. I will always take responsibility for my life and actions but I refuse to take responsibility for Meth users' actions.
I have had to move out of residences on a couple occasions because of the close proximity of the property to Meth heads and the terror they cause.
Meth is pure evil and does permanent composition changes to the brain to make people commit violent acts, lie, and steal instead of thinking matters through with logic and reason.
When I first rolled into Eureka in the 90's I could see all the Tweakers hobbling down the streets with their canes and crutches, suffering from the effects of nerve damage, cartilage damage, Multiple Sclerosis, brain damage, and talking to the voices in their heads. Just look around Eureka for a while and you'll see plenty of reasons to never do this evil drug. This murder case is just another reason for people to stop taking or never take Meth. It is a huge reality check for everyone.

Yeah..really JUST because someone is a drug user, thief, rapist, murderer, bank robber or pedophile does not mean they are a BAD person. Do you not know a VICTIM when you see or read about one ???..... You judgmental people SUCK !!!

Why do we have to be subjected to the sorid life of these low lifes?

Humboldt County seems to be saturated with these types of people. Why in the middle of the day, Monday through Friday, do I notice so many young men with tatoos all over their arms, necks, and heads while out walking the family dog: A pit bull.

I'm not thrilled reading about this band of crazies over my morning coffee but I think that this series of articles indicate to
people that it's time to stop looking the other way and realize that the story of these people and those like them happens on a daily basis throughout Eureka and the surrounding areas. This meth house is not a single isolated house. These houses/apartments are all over Eureka and many times children are involved. It's overlooked by the polite citizens who are middle classed and don't want to believe that this kind of lifestyle happens in their safe tidy little world. Wake up people, become aware and start working with others to eradicate this from your neighborhoods. Get involved and stop being apathetic and let's take these places down along with the people who perpetuate this lifestyle.-
