Retired at 50 and play golf everyday? I highly doubt it. For fifty you must really be uneducated because your English is crap! For there to only be one person complaining about this thriving business doesn't worry me. Every village has their idiot and "know them" is it. Anyone who takes "know them" seriously is just as big of a joke as they are. Just let it go...

Auto-mechanics can be alot like the medical field.... If you don't take care of your car to begin with. Or if you don't research or study your options.. Just like anything; you will get screwed. You can blame the Quick Lube if it makes you feel better. But I blame the owner of the vehicle for not following thru w/ your responsibility of caring for YOUR car. A oil filter falling off... doesn't tear up a motor completely. But if you keep driving it for long period of time.. then it will. Or if you knew the exact 'oil filter' your car needed.. then maybe you should have checked w/ them & asked if they carried that type/brand. The Quick Lube/ The Car Wash is a very respectable business w/ very respectable workers. I would suggest anyone to use them. But like I say before... Don't blame someone else for your short comings...

I have a true story to share about my experience with Corbin Quick Lube that should serve to alleviate any and all concerns about the quality of work that they do, as well as their level of care for the customer. It also speaks to their generosity, integrity, and concern for their "fellow man". I had the chance to experience southern hospitality first-hand, and in a major way.

Over this past summer, my wife, my 6-month old daughter, and I were driving from Lake Norris, TN to our home in Fort Wayne, IN. We decided to make a quick stop in Corbin to visit the original KFC. We ate lunch as planned, but when we tried to leave, my car wouldn't start. I should probably also mention that, at the time, it was literally 107 degrees outside. We tried to jump the car, but it would not start. At this point (considering I had a 6-month old baby and it was 107 degrees with no air conditioning), I was really starting to panic. Since Corbin Quick Lube was next to the KFC, I stopped in and asked if there was any way that one of them might be able to walk over to the KFC to take a look at my car. I explained that we were traveling and that I was worried about my daughter being out in the heat.

The person I spoke with was very understanding and accommodating. Not only did he agree to take a look at my car for free, but he also invited my wife and daughter to come inside, gave them both cold drinks, and allowed them to relax in the shop while he was down the street (at the KFC) looking at my car.

After climbing under my car to take a look (which could not have been enjoyable considering it was 107 degrees, the ground was black-top, and I had just been driving in the mountains for several hours), he determined that I would need a new starter. He said that he had a friend that worked at the local auto-parts store, and he offered to call them. He called his friend, confirmed that they had the part I needed, and convinced his friend to deliver the part directly to the KFC parking lot. I paid $90 to the guy that delivered the part, and the Corbin Quick Lube employee offered to install the part for me. He installed the part without asking for a cent! After installing the part for free, he went on to show me several simple things that I can do to keep my car in great condition and several repairs/replacements that I can do myself (such as how to change the air filter to improve the efficiency of my air conditioner), as well as several things that many auto-repair places do to take advantage of customers that aren’t “in the know”. My car has been starting up immediately and running like a dream ever since.
What was truly amazing to me is that he didn’t even think twice about it. He was happy to help, and it was evident that he truly cared. It would be one thing if I was a friend or a family member, but that wasn’t the case. He had never even met me and he still went way out of his way to help me out, spent several hours on the car, and he didn’t even expect anything in return!

I can honestly say that I have never in my entire life had a better experience at any service-related company than I did at the Corbin Quick Lube. While I may never get the chance to visit Corbin again, I wanted to share my experience and urge anyone who reads this in the Corbin area to use the Corbin Quick Lube for any of the services that they offer.
