Jeb Bush’s wife, family issues key to 2016

If Jeb Bush decides to run for president, he’ll have to defend his family’s controversial political name.

But more immediate family concerns might keep him from running at all.

Republican donors and operatives are chattering about Bush’s publicity-shy wife.
Columba Bush has long been deeply averse to the spotlight, especially after an embarrassing encounter with U.S. Customs while her husband was still in office.
Two of his children have been in the news in past years for arrests linked to drug problems and public intoxication.

His mother wouldn't let the "darkie" in her home, nor the mixed grandkids. Truth. The first time those kids were near Jeb's parents was at the convention when his dad was nominated for President...they were all on stage together....for the 1st time. Those little kids did not know who 'those people were'....their grandparents. Talk about died in the wool racists....wow. It was the talk of the convention....all the journalists were going on and on about it.

Age does have some advantages. Today people cannot believe that the elder Bush's (and plenty others in America) were THAT racist but it was common.

If you read the boards most common Republican STILL feel that way....you read their hate on these boards all the time. They sure ain't Democrats posting that trash!!

Pushback Continues: States Grow Increasingly Wary of Common Core
April 16, 2014

Common Core is on the ropes. More and more states are pulling back from the national standards as the 2014–15 school year implementation deadline looms near.

In Louisiana, Governor Bobby Jindal (R)—formerly a Common Core supporter—is now encouraging the legislature to remove the state from the Common Core aligned Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for Colleges and Careers (PARCC) test. And if they don’t act, he will.
...
Fifteen states have now made strides in halting or downgrading their involvement in the standards. Last month, Indiana became the first state to exit Common Core. This is promising momentum in the effort of states to reclaim their educational decision-making authority.

Voter Fraud Not Uncommon

Dems’ Voter-Fraud Denial
April 3, 2014
How do you address a problem they insist doesn’t exist?

The spin doctors who deny the existence of voter fraud have no boundaries.

“Plans to fight voter fraud are based on nightmares, tall tales, and paranoid fears,” says Scott Keyes of the liberal Center for American Progress.

Voter fraud is so rare “you’re more likely to get hit by lightning than find a case of prosecutorial voter fraud,” asserts Judith Browne-Dianis, co-director of the liberal Advancement Project.

Kim Strach, the new director of North Carolina’s Board of Elections, disagrees. She just searched a database that comprises about half the registered voters in the U.S. and found 35,750 voters in her state whose first and last names and full date of birth match with someone in another state who also voted in the 2012 election.

A smaller number (765) had exact matches on Social Security numbers, but that total is artificially low because only some states provide that number for any or all of their voters.

Remember: In 2008, Barack Obama only carried North Carolina by 14,177 votes out of 2.3 million cast.

Strach is turning over her findings to the state legislature along with recommendations on what laws would help clean up the rolls.

Nor is North Carolina the only state with voter fraud in the news. Cobby Williams, a former 2012 independent congressional candidate in Mississippi, was sentenced to five years in prison this week for knowingly registering a convicted felon.

Last month, police in Pontiac, Mich., found the mummified body of Pia Farrenkopf in the garage of her foreclosed home. She had apparently been dead since 2008, but was listed as having voted in the 2010 election for governor.

Texas Democratic state representative Lon Burnam filed suit in March claiming he was defeated by 111 votes in his Democratic primary because of an illegal vote-by-mail operation, which might have been orchestrated by his opponent.

Democrats Confront Vexing Politics Over the Health Care Law
APRIL 19, 2014

When Franklin D. Roosevelt established Social Security, he created generations of loyal Democrats. When Lyndon B. Johnson signed Medicare into law, he built on that legacy, particularly with older Americans. And when George W. Bush instituted a new prescription drug benefit for Medicare, it helped reclaim elderly voters for Republicans.

But President Obama’s Affordable Care Act, the $1.4 trillion effort to extend health insurance to all Americans, is challenging the traditional calculus about government benefits and political impact.

Even as Mr. Obama announced that eight million Americans had enrolled in the program and urged Democrats to embrace the law, those in his party are running from it rather than on it, while Republicans are prospering by demanding its repeal.

Ted Cruz says Obamacare can be turned over before Obama leaves office !!!
Sarah Palin's opposite clone; the illegitimate Canadian Love-Child of Cohen and McCarthy is a legend in his own mind. Just like any Boner; there is only enough blood to run one-head-at-a-time.
I could care less about this Canadian Clown. This McCarthyite is able to dupe the Religious Fundies, The Cults of Jeebus, or not. He appears to have bullied 3 out of the 4 who voted for him or bribed them.
I choose to live in a universe of intelligent life rather than pander to the poison from this putrid McCarthyite in the Isa tradition of: "Just because I say something makes it true."
Fact check 'em kids and laugh at their pure idiocy.
Then get angry as they piss away your money on their $175K annually for not doing a damned thing. Move on, repair it and before you make another move; get yourself educated. This Missionary of Hate, this Fear-Monger by design is Goebbels in the flesh re-incarnate. The McCarthy resemblance is just to throw you off base...
Great Job Teddy. Ya think Sarah can see you from her kitchen window?
Show us just what you are made of and then go compost in Texas.

Ted knows he can’t repeal the ACA but he also knows how gullible, unhinged and irrational his base is so he goes spreading ignorance and deluded thought to the terminally gullible and perpetually fooled.

If the Teatotalitarians haven’t figured it out yet, Ted is lying to you and playing you for suckers at the same time. All he needs from you is your cash and your proudly held zealot’s ignorance and he’s winning as much as he is planning for. I suggest you all brush up on the cult known as Dominionists so you can find out what slaughter he has planned to lead you to, a world order Christian caliphate with the belief that 7 kings will rule the world by controlling and dictating the 7 pillars of a nation, economy, religion, corporations, morals, government and the judiciary and Ted’s daddy (issues) has designated him to be one of the kings.

What’s happening in the Middle East with a stretching Muslim caliphate will be the fate of America if Ted ever gets a taste of real power and the American Dominionists that spring from the family who reside on C Street Washington are behind the homophobic jailed for life if you’re gay in Uganda laws.

If you want a more relevant comparison look no further than Russia, a fractured Orthodox/plutocratic caliphate belligerent and hostile to dissent in its own borders and threatening to retake countries that waited years to be free from it.

Ted is a clear and present danger because he is intelligent, yet denies science for consumption by his base. He is prepared to say and do whatever it takes to achieve power including causing a worldwide economic meltdown, seeing he tried that last year and lost it completely when his party got to the edge of an unimaginable abyss then blinked. He didn’t set up his own party but he enjoyed watching it fracture and he didn’t do it to force the end of the ACA. He did it for notoriety, cash and to warm the cockles of Rush/Fox acolytes who just don’t like the fact that America is in the 21st Century and long for the pre civil rights era, when no black person could rise above their station. The ones who are appalled that there’s one in the White House, the ones who have taken to idolizing Vladimir Putin and want brinksmanship all the way through to a thermonuclear war, just so long as the president of the USA gets his comeuppance.

People who have no love of country, the environment and the rest of the world, angry, bitter, old and frightened of change reactionaries.

I agree...these folks and their phony patriotism are actually usurping the greatness of the United States of America. Whether they like it or not, we are a melting pot of culture and that has been the thing that made us strong...does anyone even think that we would have one WWII without the contribution of ethnic immigrants.
These people are really selfish pigs...in my opinion and the way theyre going around bullying everyone else. They are notorious for blaming everyone but themselves for their lousy problems. Since they have the backing of those ignorant bastards at Faux News they have unfortunately found financial backing from the likes of the Koch Brothers and all of they phoney political gruops like Americans for Prosperity hahaha notice these groups that fund them actually do the exact opposite of what they propose in their names. Like "clean energy" "prosperity" "independence". Etc.
These folks are like Teddy, Tax No More, Roger Racist....this guy is a tool...of his overlord benefactors....and continues to post fresh bullshtt generated by their propoganda machine at the Heritage Foundation ....yes these lovely turdds come from Heritage prewrapped like little candies. All filled with lies and half truths to subvert the American middle class..they're litterally taking the US out of the US. In my opinion.
Its a very dangerous road and we are losing our democracy. I am quite aware that we are a representative style Republic too. That's their first cynical response of course....but these happy go lucky idiots are causing the demise of our fair system of elections with the money given by the plutocrats...ever notice too ..how do they find these people. I guess at the Tea Party rallies hosted by the master of all dellusionary conspiracy theories himself Glen Beck.
