Cherepko Confused Again

Back in the primary, he traveled to White Oak to photograph his commitment to McKeesport kids for a political flyer.

In the General Election, he sent out the same flawed mailer.

To make matters worse, at least one of the kids in the flyer weren't even McKeesport kids....

Now, according to tonight's Daily Snooze, the Mckeesport Mayor traveled to WHITE OAK Elementary to explain government to WHITE OAK kids. The classrom he visited was that of the 2nd and present Mrs. Cherepko.

Lets discuss the fronts that this is wrong on.

1) McKeesport taxpayers funded this visit.
2) McKeesport has children who could benefit from the Mayor's vaaaaast knowledge of how McKeesport government works.(Pay homage to Brewster and you will get ahead despite your immoral indiscretions.)
3) Former students have told me that he already spent enough time in his wife's (then mistress's) classroom when he was supposed to be teaching in his own classroom at Cornell.
4) White Oak actually has a competent and experienced Mayor. She actually contributes to her community and is someone to look up to.

I understand that there are many people who live in Fawcett Plan and Haler Heights who believe they live in White Oak, or at least tell people that they do.

One would have hoped that McKeesport would have elected a Mayor who actually knew that he didn't.

Predictable. Someone should tell Mike to spend as much time out of the city as he wants. Everyone knows that Brewster is still the Mayor. Who holds the Penthouse suite at City Hall? The nominal boy Mayor or the real one?

I wish SW Airlines would stop dropping off all their lost baggage in the Port.

We have enough home grown baggage and unaccounted for trash.

Yes. His Ex is a very nice young lady. During his first Council run, she was photographed doing her nursing duties at Mckeesport hospital.

Answer to the 1st question; yes . Answer to the second comical sentence; Would you consider a spineless, cheating, so-called educational professional involved first hand in a Sex Scandal on School Property during School Hours while being paid by the TAXPAYERS a 'proud ' part of your family ? Certainly not.

But he's a favorite son of the dirty MDC & their gutless puppets called the McK School Board.???? You tell me - why ?

IMO, he married far above his class & character the first time. Much to those fine people's dismay , I am certain.

I would suspect the taxpayers paid. I just hope he did not screw it up like trying to record a deed for city for over five years.

Did Mayor Mikey send our salt rucks and plows over to White Oak first? Their roads were clear by 9AM and ours started to get better around 2.

Feds: Cordaro/Munchak took kickback schemes to a new level
BY JOE MCDONALD (STAFF WRITER)
Published: January 28, 2012

Federal prosecutors Friday asked a federal judge to send former Lackawanna County Commissioner Robert C. Cordaro to prison for 20 years and former Commissioner A.J. Munchak for 15 years when they are sentenced Monday in federal court in Scranton.

In arguing for stiff sentences, the prosecutors said the former majority county commissioners engaged in a "pay-to-play scheme by demanding tribute from businesses desirous of county work."
"They put their own self-interest ahead of the public who they were sworn to serve," the prosecutors said. " The harm here is not just measured in the value of the money or property gained or lost, but in the erosion of the public trust."

But prosecutors said Mr. Cordaro and Mr. Munchak don't deserve a break because "the crimes proven at trial were not isolated incidents, but instead were part of an approach to public office that the defendants adopted from the moment they became elected county commissioners." They also said: "Running on a campaign to end "pay-to-play" politics, the defendants not only embraced "pay-to-play," but took it to a level far beyond what any past administration had engaged."

Commenting on the string of public corruption cases that have saturated the local media, the prosecutors said, "to the extent the public suffers from corruption 'fatigue'- that is the refrain sometimes heard that 'all politicians are corrupt'- a lengthy sentence would help promote the view that a day of reckoning for public officials who commit corrupt acts and that the public can and should expect more from its elected officials."
Mr. Munchak's lawyers said that's an unfair portrayal of Mr. Munchak, who they said was convicted of taking payments totaling $60,000 from Highland Associates, a Clarks Summit architectural firm.

"The only criminal conduct before the court spans not four years, but six months (for Mr. Munchak)," his lawyers said. " To dismiss Mr. Munchak's entire majority tenure as corrupt from start to finish discounts his many positive contributions to the community he loves."
