Tom Maglicco is the best MASD board member and I agree with you. He works hard, does his homework, and is his own person.

The MASD is fortunate to have such a class board member. Some of the others should try to emulate his integrity, honesty, logic, and wisdom.

Great job Tom and do not let the others dilute or contaminate you. Thanks for stopping the unnecessary third middle school and stealing of a taxpayer property via eminent domain.

Tom would be a great candidate for City mayor. I would back and support him.

I do like Tom Maglicco and Chris Halaszynky! I am concern at times they are doing the will of there bosses! I like and can appreciate how Halaszynky opposed how many board members try spending thousands of tax dollars to go on vacation (school board conference) to California.. He's been fighting that fight for years now! Im also happy to read in the Daily News he openly wabted to replace Ward at the coaching poistion. Tom is always fighting to tax payers! Tom and Chris seem to be young and promising futures in politics. I heard through the winds both are running for higher political seats in the very near future. One for mayor and one for state rep! Put your money that this info is very liable!

Both are only doing what they are told to do. The facebook statement was nothing but an embarrassment to the district and himself.

He is always there and responsive when any senior citizen needs help.

Tom doesn't follow anyone! The Facebook quote in the daily news was classic! Sounds like sour grapes over Ward! Someone had to let the public know that that BUM was gone!

How do you think Tom would do if pitted agains AJ?

AJ has been rather warm and cozy with the administration. I would suspect that the mayor has higher ambitions and AJ is sensing this possible opportunity.

I like AJ but would back Tom because he does not pander to the machine.

I like Tom. I believe that he would be a much better candidate than Councilman Soles who seems to be tilted toward the machine.

Halaszynsky is going to run for State Rep. He wants to take Gerglys seat. He's already stated that in public several times. I think Chris can knock him off! Tom running for mayor is a possibility.. Both would have a fight on there hands!

The machine would of course back Marc Gergely first, and they should. I think Marc's staff does an excellent job. He has good people on his staff that is led by Tom.

I think that the machine with the mayor's urging would back either Soles or Elash for the rep's position if Marc runs for the Senator's seat. The machine wants a person they can control 100% and is smart.

Chris will have a very difficult mission. Marc, if he runs again, is very clever. He will run a few from the City to dilute Chris's vote. Look for Spando or Shelly or Soles or Washington or Tedesco to take votes from Chris?

AJ Tedesco could dilute the MPD vote and contribute to difficulties for Chris. In return Gergely and machine would then back him for mayor if Mikey goes after the senate seat. This is just my speculations and one of several political scenarios.

The machine did the dilution configuration before when Mikey won the primary.

Remember George Gobel defended Lori's petition when challenged. Why? The machine wanted her in the race to the dilute the vote in favor of Mikey. She could be a player again.

Halaszynski lead the mckeesport vote on both of his elections.. He is well liked and has a good name. He's down fall was supporting Kucich years ago. The machine knows hes value.. I doubt that he is interested in State seat. I know he has truly shown interest in running for mayor. He wanted to run this past election and decided to wait. My bet is he will put his name in this up coming term.. I will also bet Tom is looking for Marc's seat if Marc takes on the a senate seat.

Is the senator planning on retiring or will he have to run against his WO friend? The senator's machine will entice several to run to dilute Marc's vote. They may even entice Matta to run against Marc and break up the WO vote. If the senator get someone to dilute the Monroeville vote he is in a good position.

Honorable SB Members

This is how the public should define a honorable school board member.

The most honorable ones are those who do not get tanked up and misbehave at the annual out of state school board members conference.

The honorable ones attend all imformative sessions. The honorable ones are not wined and dined and entertained by vendors. The honorable one do not take vendor paid side vacations.

The honorable ones respect their spouse and remember their marriage vows.

The same criterion applies to all Commonwealth school administrators.

The word of your conduct always has a tendancy to covertly creep throughout the community and then spread by the street. You can try to hide it but the truth creeps out.

The best solution is to not approve attendance at these conference unless the SB member wishes to pay his own way.

It had to be a JOKE! Holtzman, Lopretto & Kondrosky are an embarrassment to this district. They take from anywhere that will give. Their vote exists solely on what's in it for them. All the fighting over going to the school board convention is a prime example! Maglicco, Gasdan & Halaszynsky are fighting for the right issue! They don't go get drunk after meetings and say things in public bars that embarrass this district even more! They don't go to free steeler games, pens games, pirate games like other members do. Say what you want.. Getting rid of ward was a God sent. A month ago i would've bet Halaszynsky and Gasdan would've wanted to keep Ward.. But my source states they really upset Risha.. I mean Hotlzman when they didn't support ward.
