The mayor refuses to reduce pay for council because he needs rubber stamping by them.I want to know why council gets paid over $300.00 a month and school board members dont? so are they there for the money of for the community?
yeah I know it's only 28 K a year but when youre broke every little bit helps out........
so at $330.00 a month for each council member can mean that it could be a car payment and the tax payers are paying for that car. what do they work say 6 hours a month? that's over $55.00 an hour.......they should be a shamed . there should be a motion to omit council salaries the mayor has no say in it, he cant vote and he cant supress a vote to omit this unwanted stipend to each council member. hats off to fawn for bringing this up, bring it up every month ! see which puppets are owned by the mayor..

Agree with nearly all of what you write, except you give Brewster too much credit for working at Mellon Bank. He was vice-president of security, meaning second in charge. He may have had a desk job, but he had nothing to do with accounts, loans, etc. |

Business privilege tax? What is the priviledge of business in population declining city, except for grocery stores? Nothing. Mayor Cherepko said businesses will never be shoulder to shoulder in McKeesport again on 5th Avenue. McKeesport is a politically greed ruined city by projects HUD and abuses of government free money.
Why should the government hand money to McKeesport with illegal gambling ring connection ties and to other McKeesport illegal activity. These politicians aren't to be commended for lying on a false budget book and refusing to pay taxes, the IRS and rent! Elash should pay rent, he represents several shady businesses in McKeesport. McKeesport, Pennsylvania: The End Of A Rust Belt ... Randy Fox: Dec 31, 2012 - November 16, 2013 .... The first time I went to photograph McKeesport, PA, I made the remark to the ... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/randy-fox/mckee... By the end of 2010, less than 20,000 would remain. Of those, a little over 18% of families and 23% of the population live below the poverty line, including 36% of those under the age of 18. No jobs are left in McKeesport. 99% of the residents take buses to work, McKeesport is loaded with abandoned houses. If Mike was saddened by the negativity in McKeesport, why is he happy to give a raise to a drunk driver city solicitor in McKeesport? In 2002, council president Brewster and the then council hired a new legal representation. This was done because the mayors legal representation over favored the mayor, not council or city residents. John Jason Elash over favors the mayor Mike Cherepko. McKeesport's '02 budget dispute may go to court - Post-Gazette.com Feb 13, 2002 - City council directed lawyer John Jason Elash last week to take legal action against Mayor Wayne Kucich ... Elash recently was hired by council as a second lawyer for city officials because members felt Solicitor Falco Muscante's legal advice too often favors Kucich's side. (A second lawyer, here's where the McKeesport troubles started). Elash had a lot of nerve arguing over the interim mayor Regis McLaughlin choice to for Elash. http://old.post-gazette.com/neigh_south/20020... |
