Well it's nice to know that other towns are now involved with Glassport. So when comments are made, McKeesport, West Mifflin, West Elizabeth, Port Vue and Dravosburg will see them.

Munhall will be OK as soon as they find the missing audit they forgot to contract for? The good citizens should be exploring surcharges against those officials responsible for screwing up the retirement account.

Who requested that the DA investigation?

From my out of town perspective, it seems like the mayor has some questions to answer..

The DA was brought in to cover everything up just like when Brewster brought in Zappala for the detective pay scandal in McKeesport.

At least Munhall ADMITS that the money was misplaced/missing. They don't borrow a MILLION dollars from the PNC bank With quarterly payments of $31,000, that the tax payers have to foot the bill for.

Then he has the STONES to say "“It’s a solid budget, and we are financially in good shape,’’ said manager John DeSue"

Keyword: Glassport
Source: http://www.post-gazette.com/local/south/2014/...

Then to top it off, the note isn't maturing until 2017, and our (sarcasm) GREAT borough manger has $45,000 left. But he keeps hiring more employees. Remodeling the borough building to the tune of $50 - 100 thousand dollars.

At the same time, buildings are crumbing, the people (tax base) are leaving in droves. The books have NEVER been balanced by the state, when John D.. and Terry D. miraculously came up with $600,000 in 2006. When 2 years prior, they were filing ACT47 protection.

As I said, a town of 4,000 people can't come up with a $25,000 per month surplus to pay off $600,000 in two years. So where the money come from? The borough manager REFUSES to discuss, or release the RTK paperwork on the issue.

Sound fishy? You betcha!

Excellent post. And then you add in the $78,000 of boro taxpayer money needed to clean up the illegal dumping PERMITTED by then councilman Desue for a lousy $400 dumping fee, the mismangement of boro grants, the boro manager putting himself on as boro auditor while he was a councilman, giving a boro contractor the boro credit card only to have him run up a bill on it, and the political patronage hirings...the guy should have been removed from any dealings with boro monies at the first council meeting of the year. And what is with keeping the same boro solicitor who has been giving the Dimarco/DiSue gang legal advice the last so many years? How stupid can Dave and Rosemary be? Is the solicitor working for Desue or is he working for them? Sounds to me like he is working for Desue. The boro has gone from being run by one set of nuts to another! Where and when does it all stop? Somebody...PLEASE, help us!!!!!!

The DA did his job investigating the MPD narc detectives' bogus overtime pay. The DA issued the report to the former mayor.

The former mayor buried aka covered up for the seven MPD officers. He later promoted more than one. He measures everything in votes not justice.

I hope at the next grand jury the state authorities investigate possible obstruction of justice in the city.

Do not blame the DA for this one. He did his job. The wrongdoings were by the former mayor who is a master of cover ups - Cornell School sex scandal with the late Dr. Risha, the Delta Report cover up, and the despicable record of one his key employees, and the same person campaigning for the former mayor using city resources.

The DA is too smart to get caught up in these types of scandals.

The mistake there was giving the report to the mayor. It should of went back to the AG. This way criminal charges would of been brought against the police and the mayor.

Why would the DA give the wrong doing to the person that was in charge of the thefts. Did he ever think that maybe the mayor was involved with the coverup?

Also go UP. Never across, or down. NEVER hand the keys to the door back to a prisoner.

Recall, it was the former mayor who initially requested an audit and subsequent investigation. Simple SOP would have the DA return his findings to the one requesting the investigation.

The AG could still be in the equation if the street rumors of a 37th state grand jury to be convened in March. The AG could subpoena witnesses on the cover up. We will never know unless it surfaces in indictment(s).

Sometime the cover ups and perjury are much more severe that the actual transgression..

Really? You'd think that was true. But not with the case of Glassport's "GOON JOKE" government. Once they find out your name, they go on the attack. I tried to get the information back in 2004. I submitted a request, called a week later, "they haven't gotten around to it yet". Called the next week, same answer. Called a week after that, they wanted me to fill out another request.

Shortly afterward, my friend had a neighbor that just bought a house across the street. He had just won a lawsuit against the borough because a police officer was found negligent hitting the neighbor's vehicle with a squad car.

For "retaliation" the borough messed with his home purchase with trumped up sewage issues. DEMANDED that he use a "certain" local plumber. Which cost him so much money in "troubleshooting and repairs" that he actually went bankrupt and lost the home.

This is why the people of Glassport are concerned about forcing them into compliance. They RETALIATE. If they can't find anything wrong, they make stuff up. They will even go as far as getting the police to write bogus tickets, which costs you time, money and aggravation. Just to have the citations dismissed because the citation will be found without merit.

They THINK they are above the law. One person here described it as "OLD SCHOOL POLITICS". I call it as I see it, "CRIMINAL POLITICS". The atrocities they have bestowed upon the citizens of Glassport is outright CRIME. That's why over 3 years ago, I took up the mantel and started researching from 2000 all the way to present date.

The information I found would turn most people's stomachs. One person even when and turned the information into Brewster and another person (who escapes me currently). Since The John "daddy" desue, the then president of council, and they were golfing buddies, it went NO WHERE.

That's why I wanted until I got all the information together, and didn't play with LOCAL politicians. I waited over 3 years, warning them to clean it up. Then I went to the AG's office with the information.

Agreed. They should of FIRED "daddy". Then hired a REAL borough manager. If we really need one at all. Which I don't think Glassport can afford one anyway.

So it's a rush to judgement, and then hurry up and wait game? That just gives them more time to bury the incriminating evidence. Particularity if the mayor's involved as well.

Burying the evidence is not so simple. Evidence and people's testimonies are frequently retrievable or non-erasable, respectively.

The bell can not be un-rung and its sound of information will resonate long and far. It could very well fall upon the ears of some law enforcement authorities.

This is less than good news for all integrity challenged perpetrators of corruption.

Still in the works. I just turned it over January 10th. Which the AG's office can take whatever time they need to collect evidence.
