What police? Mckeesport police are just as crooked as the thugs that killed this young man. Mckeesport has the most unsolved murders in Allegheny County!!! That says alot about Mckeesport police. They are cowards.

Why are the police corrupt because someone was killed? Did the police do this? Did the McKeesport Police Department shoot this guy? I don't think so. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the Allegheny County Homicide Detectives generally work on crimes like this in Allegheny County. Granted the local force does as well, but, use your heads. I have lived in this city for 40 years and have never known someone to say what you three are saying. It's a bunch of hogwash. Why aren't any of you saying anything about the thugs/gang bangers out there who think they are invincible and believe that they are God? These are the people who will never ever gain an ounce of respect from me. I respect the police and always will. Look at what they have to put up with everyday. Low paying jobs, arresting scumbags who are back out on the streets sometimes the same day as being arrested. Also, they have to put up with lawyers who want to sue them because they shot someone. Guess what? The police do not shoot innocent people. Most times, it is someone running from them and that person is holding a gun. A policeman's job is to protect you. Please respect them, they are the authority. You are not. I am behind the police here since I feel they are doing a fantastic job. My hat is off to them.

First off being a McKeesport cop is not a low pay job. Also they happen to be one of the most corrupt departments in western Pa. I was in police work for 15 years of my life and I refused a job offer there because I wanted nothing to do with their good old boy network. Eddie, you need to investigate your information before you stand up to defend them or you end up looking foolish. I could tell you about businesses that the police robbed, I could tell you about several cops family members who somehow never seem to get picked up in the drug sweeps. How about a few that are collecting that low pay that manage to build mansions on pill hill and drive some nice luxury cars. Wake up Ed,there is a lot more going on behind the scenes than you realise. That being said I will agree that McKeesport does have a lot of problems on the streets but if the political good old boys hadn't caused the economic ruin of the city then maybe all the drug dealers on the streets would have jobs to go to.

BOB You said a mouth full,Does Eddie realize that one official has over 148 complaints that has forced an early ret. LT &@%%$ whatever, and was investigated for the murder of a young local woman. This same man used to be involved with a local nightclub { Vapors } wher he was well knownfor going to the bathroom more than often. And i know wher one of the NARC agents used to go get high 5 days a week at a bld in the crawford vill area , close to the lil gas house . Thats just a few of the things i know , I am more scared of the police ther .Now dont get me wrong ther are alot of police ther that uphold the law very professionaly. my hats off to them and them only. The others do not in any way deserve to be working for public works , let alone be on the force . Every dog has its day, keep that in mind.

Hey The Mon Valley Boys are a watered down version of the Lapd. How about a lot of they're so called confidential informants that got killed. What about the pay-offs they take to look the other way.How does someone die in crawford village on a routine arrest??Do you're home work before you comment. They're is a very thin line between cops and criminals and I belive That the Mckeesport and West Mifflin police have crossed it.Did you know that the former chief of police in W.Mifflin is under federal indictmient for corruption?

You make a good point chill, my hat is off to the few honest ones on the dept because it is that much harder to stay straight when you are surrounded by corruption. At one time the attorney general was supposed to run an investigation on corruption in McKeesport but apparently someone had enough pull to get that quashed.

Chillndeville, Lil Squirel, Mckeesport Resident and Bob everything the four of you said is the honest truth. CORRUPT MURDERERS !!! Guns where brought into Huston's Lounge where Sid was killed everyday. Mckeesport police drank with these thugs on a regular basis and knew they were armed. Get your facts straight Eddie. 22 unsolved murders in Mckeesport. Allegheny County Homicide comes after the fact. People shooting guns off right in front of the police in Crawford Village and they run from that stuff. But they can kill out of control unarmed drug addicts. They should work in Los Angeles! I'm not blaming Sids death on Mckeesort police. But I blame them for letting Oscar escape. They had the boy in custody that killed the other two young men in Mckeesport a fews weeks prior and they let him go. Now they are looking for him ago. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize some bullshit is going on!

One of Mckeesport officers was fired for pulling a gun on an unarmed teenager that beat up his son. Then he got his job back when Brewster was elected. Only to have an infinite number of citizen complaints filed against him at this time. He was recently demoted back to uniform ( what a shame cause he should be terminated). He is definitely not about protect and serve. He is about abuse and payoffs. Complaint after complaint after complaint. "Gould" go after the thugs carrying the guns if your so into doing your job. Take your uniform up in Crawford and clean it up!

I agree with all of you. Clean Mckeesport up and start with the Police Force and the Local Government. Enough is enough. Too many people are dying. Lets pray a child doesn't get caught in any of the crossfire. There are also too many drugs in our town. I knew Sid Mclean from a child to an adult. He was a nice young man that never bothered a soul. He never looked for trouble or started any. He sure didn't deserve this. Get it right Mckeesport. Don't let Sid's death be in vain. Stop the violence, guns and the drugs.

Eddie a person running from the police holding a gun doesn't warrant the police to shoot. You sound like a Mckeesport officer. No wonder they get sued. Brush up on your law enforcement skills.

I run all the time holding a gun. Jogging in the park carrying my weapon. I'm an officer. I know a few officers that have lost there job and gone to jail for shooting innocent people. Adrenaline rushed ,trigger happy, can't wait to fire my gun officers. They're are some that are pure mistakes. Nevertheless innocent people do get shot by law enforcement officers.

you want first hand info on mckeesports finest, well let me tell you. I grew up in that rufuse dump of "city"(and i use that term very loosely). I know alot of the guys on the so-called force. So, lets look at the record. One used to sell cocaine when he worked for U.S. Steel, one was a prostitute, two of them never had a drivers liscence, two went to prison on homocide related charges......and that barely scratches the surface.
Now, the prick that arrested me tried to kill me(that would be that Lt.@#$%&* that someone mentioned before)& I couldnt find a lawyer who could take my case due to conflict of interest. For those who dont know what that means< it means that every lawyer i talked to couldn't help me because at one time or another they had defended him. why would an honest cop need that many lawyers? That was ten+ years ago, and all his fellow officers covered it up (at the time i was trying to become a amc akeesport police officer, but instead i had to leave because I was infear for my life from that psycho bastard). Do we still need to ask who the criminals are?

to bob, you commented on the attorney generals investigation: The only group with that kind of influence would be some one with direct ties to that office(didn't a one time police chief leave to work for the A.G.'s office.....coincidence, you be the "judge".)

When I mentioned that I said "apparently quashed" because I never heard any more about it but I believe you are right about the former chief. As far as Eddie goes, I am not going to insult him. Apparently he has not had much contact with the police which tells me he must be a decent law abiding person. I hope he never has to see the truth firsthand. Their whole policy is "the end justifies the means". Most of them would think nothing of planting evidence on someone they don't like who doesn't cause any problems but I have seen first hand how they steer clear of real problem people cause they don't want to have to deal with it. And I know one detective that has protected his son the drug dealer during every drug sweep. The other drug dealers that know who I mean are smart enough to watch him and when he makes himself scarce and they know it is time to take a vacation cause they know another drug sweep is coming. It all boils down to one word, integrety, which is severely lacking in that city.

First of all IM FROM HAZELWOOD!!!And Im to old for some bull----- set claiming. In the gang violence of the 1990's in one year theyhad states witnesses killed and numerous fire arm assaults.Suffice to say The pittsburgh police Department on average has anywhere From 35-78 HOMICIDES per year.Half of which never get solved. The corruption in the city council and the police deptmartment in the city makes the mon valley look loke childs play.U know why???The JUDGES in Allegheny county R corrupt.
