Why did you leave Mr. McCall and Mr. Ward and Mr. Boden (sp?) off your list?

Anyone who has watched a Tiger game over the last 3 years would know why Ward wouldn't be on the list!

Mr McCall is a terrible coach and wouldn't be able to handle the heat when they start sucking because McCall couldn't coach a purse.

Bowen is who I think you're referring to and he is in a great position in another district and wouldn't think about moving.

Yes, is was Bowen who I suggested. Thanks for correctiong my spelling. Why not offer Bowen the AD position and head coach? He is a winner and a fine gentleman.

I have no first hand experience about Mr. McCall with respect to his coaching skills. I know he is interested in school affairs and heard he was interested in running for the board some time ago.

I just repeated what I heard on the street. He is well liked by his councilman friends, the mayor, and senator. He did an excellent job at MACM and just thought that his MACM/Council skills would translate to the football field. He is a winner, and thought the team needs a winner.

He did handle the hot issues at the county lockup very well as a guard including some nasty federal inmates. He had officer rank at the lockup.

He is a fighter also. Council President Segina had to have he police evict him from a council meeting one time. That is the kind of fight a coach should have and why I thought he had all the coaching tools.

But, I will defer to your judgement and opinion about his coaching skills. You are closer to the matter than I am. If you are correct, then he should not be on the list.

But why was Bowen left off?

The job has been filled. The HC at Steel Valley resigned his position there for personal reasons and has already been offered and Accepted the position. It will be approved by the board at the next closed door meeting. His record at SV waas 16-14 and he has cleaned up the attitude and discipline issues there just like Ward was doing here. Perfect guy to pick up right where Jim left off. He will do as the board wants... keep the criminals and thug life out of the program.

You have to be the dumbest person to ever be born into this world. I feel bad for your mother, you really have no clue. Get a girlfriend or boyfriend and keep busy. Chime in ever once in awhile. Terry Smith is our next coach.

Heard his Steel Valley team finished the season with like 25 players too just like the Tigers. Kids quitting left and right. Yeah, that's what we need, another Ward.

Who wants Terry Smith , he's hated by the Gateway fans as an egotistical arse-hole . McCall lost out in politics until jimmy's Peeper Boy resurrected another loser , bootlicker to fill a position . Why the hell would he even be mentioned as Coach , except to appease the blowboy MDC & skool bored . Nothin personal, honest , just tired of their as usual bullshyt pandering.

Can't believe you people think coaches are just lining up to be here. This is MuckSleazeport 2012 , not McKeesport 1995. We are now the ghetto, crime dump of the whole Valley . There is no pride left . Everyone ridicules but the self centered local politicos are deaf to it.

W light, you hit it on the nose. After the last hiring fiasco anyone with half a brain would stay away. That said, there are those old tigers who know the tiger way. Those are the ones who should be considered.
If you want to rebuild the tigers it will take a tiger pride to restore it to glory.

Perhaps an independent panel of old Tigers to pick the coach?

I think that MASD needs a female football coach.

MASD should do a national search for a successful female football coach.

Maybe Goldie Hawn will be coach? Like her 80's movie that helped launch the careers of Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes.

Coach Steele has accepted the job formally today.

Wow where'd that come from. I heard Knute Rockney is coming back from the dead to resurrect the once proud program. I also heard he talked the four horsemen into transferring to run the flex bone in honor of his long lost relative.

Btw. John Q. I see your master plan. Talk the people into hiring a girl (via alias post names) Then when your sex change is complete you're going to come in to coach the team yourself.

I think that a female Indian (native) should be interviewed and selected football coach.

With the unexpected millions of dollars MASD surplus, I think MASD can get Goldie's attention. She has local relatives and may be delighted to join her long lost family.

I like Goldie and would support her. Upon futher review, the decisions well always come down on her side.
