Nice move. Brewster should have given Osinski the old Lucas, Tiger Town, Arby's place. 17 years on the furze doing a excellent job. Give him a top McKeesport spot.

I've seen some very intelligent, responsible people with autism. I've seen kids with autism doing more with focus on the job than anyone could expect.

Kudos.... The young man with autism wants to work, wants to be a productive member of society and then you have all of these pieces of garbage on welfare holding out their hands for more, more, more....

Give Puzzler's a try, good food and good service too- and more importantly, you are helping these young kids out too.

Oh, it won't be long for the "typical" negative posters to start crushing the place about something. You watch

They fell, they couldn't get up -- and alarms didn't work - Local News ...

Thursday, December 19, 2013 - Thousands of taxpayer dollars were spent on alarms to help protect the elderly in McKeesport. Waste of Money? Emergency Alarms for the Elderly.

Since the money for the alarms came as part of a federal stimulus grant, the authority could not spend it on other needs, and tenants say there are many.

The alarms are sitting in a warehouse.

Thousands of taxpayer dollars were spent on alarms to help protect the elderly in McKeesport. But a Channel 4 Action News investigation finds the alarms were never even hooked up.

VIDEO: Watch Paul's Report
http://www.wtae.com/news/local/investigations...

This was the idea: If an elderly person fell down or had a medical emergency he or she could pull a cord and someone would immediately show up at their apartment.

When 77-year-old Kay Campbell fell, she could not get up. She reached for a nearby alarm that had been installed by the McKeesport Housing Authority. When she pulled it, nothing happened and no one responded.

The real scam is whom the non profit is and whom they are connected with. McKeesport has a strange love affair with non profits. I think the non profits are used to receive government money for illegal use.

Investigate all McKeesport non profits, especially those dealing with the city of McKeesport. Don't expect anything honest in the city of McKeesport.

The city allies itself with illegal gamblers.

"Are they going to turn it in ...?" Melocchi asked during the recorded conversation.

"Who me? Not me," Gergely replied. "I just want to take care of you.-the McKeesport connected lawmaker wanted to help Ronald Melocchi aka Porky of Operation Pork Chop. The Attorney General investigation proved pivotal in McKeesport crime findings.

McKeesport uses non profits and fake non profits to steal from the tax payers by way of the government. It's a welfare robbery on a much larger scale than any, all McKeesport centered.

That, and most non profits have paid staff that can take all the money by paycheck. Other non profits can simply abuse the money, watch out for fake non profits, research new non profits.

Non profit organizations could be temporarily created to simply help McKeesport steal from the government. Then, back off and make it appear the non profit is at fault. The non profit could have been created simply to grab the onetime government stimulus amount.

McKeesport is behind many false deals, including the 'good neighbor' kind.

you'd be better off giving each senior a first alert necklace,if they fall they simply push a button. And if one falls down with the pull stations 30 feet away, how would they get to it?
common sense did not work here, instead the system was not hook up to begin with and many political hacks 'pocketed' the cost as kickbacks .. this was joke project from day one. grant money from the state never gets to where it should go,the crooks highjack it as soon as the ink is dry on the state grant check. again since this was mckeesport it doesnt surprise me at all. just wondering if it met code standards as smoke detectors have to hard wired ( code) instead of a battery operated smoke alarm in a state owned building. these pull stations should have been hard wired and not operated as a "garage door remote opener" that operates by signal waves..........someone cut corners here..........and someone made a ton of money by kicking back money

With all due respect to WL, I would like to add a few more fine dining places locally.

For a start, Lucihano (sp?), Woodies, Pizza Hut, Jackie in WO, Lincoln Café, Hoots, Elbow Room, Carriage Inn, Dunkin Donut, Mister Donut, Lamberts, Viking Lounge, Palisades, International Village, Boston Dinner, KFC, Dianne's Corner Stone, Gyro Express, Mama Pepino, Dairy Queen, Old Stan's :new restaurant, Subway, Greek Gyro place on Lincoln Way, the Bistro across the street, Buba on Fifth, Cross Creek, Kavev, Teddy, Big Macs, Denny's,, King's, Drews, Jacktown, Riverview.

The last two enjoy taxpayers dollars paying for elected officials meals.

Thank you - but chain stores are all the same . Most of these places are not in the Boro of McKeesport . Some are not restaurants . Lucianos remains to be a pizza shop masquerading as an Italian eatery . Food is fair - menu is limited . I prefer to give my money to mom & pop places , Di's is great for breakfast , but it ends there. I remain steadfast - Tillie's is easily the best Italian (60 years), Dot's ain't fancy but their food , soups & bread are home-made & nothing here compares . Puzzlers is new & I've only had the food once - BUT -
the quality & the reason behind the business makes it that much more important . But I do admit, I forgot - Rodos is good & I haven't been to the Elbow Room in years . Pizza & Gyro Express has the best Italian hoagies but it ends there. As far as pizza hut , lucianos & others - I'd rather eat Digiorno frozen pizza . Tillies is the easily the best Italian & the best Pizza . Pizzaburg pizza comes in second . Luciano's delivered their measly pizzas to the mill I work in & guys hated it . Hundreds of guys on 3-11 chose to have their pizzas delivered by Bishops instead.
My wife gets an occasional white pizza from them & I get a hot sausage calazone -special order . But their food is mediocre at best. I don't eat at chain store eateries ever .

I eat at the locals mainly too, and not the chain places. The locals such as Tillies, Dot's, Elbow Room have been around "forever" for a reason. You don't think it's by luck do you?

I think what you are doing is a great thing for you and your family, I just think it's bad buisness when city employees or (Housing)authority workers hang out there during the day longer than an average lunch hour it looks bad on both parties.

The Mayor lets this go on because that will ensure him more votes to perpetuate this evil by being very benevolent with his favorite employees.

He lets the employees leave early before holidays to ensure him more votes.

He gives unneeded incentives to retire or resign with your tax dollars to ensure him more votes.

No one will vote against Santa Claus Mike who is generously gifting and wasting away your tax dollars to strengthen his political domination of duped voters.

Attorney General Kathy Kane is investigating and prosecuting illegal gambling activities because it violates the law, but more important is the illegal monies used to buy elections and control elected and appointed officials.

I wonder how many City official voices were part of the legally intercepted communications?

Enough said and let the AG continue to proceed with the criminal prosecution procedures.

The Porkster said it on tape "I own this City and the MPD." One might add to that the MASD also with the hiring of his relative over several long time part time employees.

IMO opinion the AG investigation is targeted toward policitial corruption and elections well funded and purchased with illegal gambling proceeds.

The money source is the Porkster and the beneficiaries are the local elected officials. Only time will tell if the AG zooms in on this apparent and alleged political corruption.

my sister used to give out handjobs behind the eden park roller rink but some cop busted her for not giving him a free handjob.

Now she had to move over to melons and do her thing by the dumpsters .
