It says on ballotpedia that there are 2 people running for state rep in our district. Marc Gergely is 1 and Ken Peoples is the other. Can anyone tell me about who Ken Peoples is?

Mr. Peoples was not compromised by intercepted communications with an indicted gambling felon.

The esteemed elected state official has nothing to fear.

It seems like the AG is on his defense team among other defense teams.

As a backup, I'm launching A Porky write-in campaign. Mob Valley needs to retain the the current power structure of the Zappala Crime Family/Terrorist Group. Only the Sicilian Mob and Synchronized Crime with Jimmy Brewster at the helm is capable of conducting government services for us lackies.

Viva Synchronized Crime and the Zappala Crime Family/Terrorist Group.

Do you think that AG Kathleen Kane's deputy attorneys would be permitted to indict him after she manipulated to have the Phila elected gang set free?

His cronies are working on disqualifying Mr. Peoples petitions which is a disgraceful action by the esteemed legislator who was nailed in a textbook sting operation by the PSP.

I just hope there is no racist component to this disqualification strategy.

Mr. Peoples should just save his money this is a slam dunk for Marc......the MDC will see to it.

Folks are forgiven and Marc will be cleared on all charges, hell, there's nothing against him now. He is like Teflon.
You cant convict someone guilty on public opinion. The gavel will never be heard by Marc.

Fact is Peoples screwed up his petitions. He did that not anyone else. Blame him. I wouldn't want an idiot who can't complete a simple petition process right to be state rep anyway.

You are correct. He could walk.

However, the AG is under scrutiny by the news media and several elected officials for dropping the Philadelphia elected officials case. No one can predict where this will go, if anywhere, and if any legal remedy might be executed. I am not sure the AG would welcome more Fox News coverage.

We do not know what she was thinking then and now. She could continue her abuse of discretion and free the 16 indicted for gambling and halt the sting investigation of our esteemed state legislator.

He is like Teflon and nothing sticks. A late mayor let him escape the suspicion of knowing the whereabouts of some $15,000 that an audit of the Palisades could not reconciled when he managed the place.

And, the beat continues. IMO he would be reelected even if under indictment or convicted which we all suspect would never happen. DeWeese was elected after indictment, I believe due to the power of the machine.

But, he ended up in the cage where he should be.

Sounds to me that People's is a relatively hard working guy that went out and braved the elements on his own and earned the signatures he got by personal effort. I'd be curious to learn how many Mr. Gergely got for himself. So what if someone left out their middle initial or something like that? It is petty of Mr. Gergely to challenge Mr. People's petitions. If he is so fearful of running against an unknown Republican in a district that is 70 percent Democrat, he's really not the type of person we want in Harrisburg. Maybe he knows an indictment is coming his way over the Operation Pork Chop and the only way he can keep his job is if he is unopposed.

The esteemed legislator may have a few issues that make him a fan of the all night movies.

1. The PSP nailed him with a simple and clever sting operation right out the law enforcement textbook.

2. The PSP have intercepted communications that reveal a close and ongoing relationship with the indicted Mr. Melocchi.

3. It is rumored that his staffer was subpoenaed more than once to share his experiences with the PA Grand Jury.

4. It is rumored that he may have orchestrated and participated in a surreptitious meeting with three others and one is believed to be Mr. Melocchi. This meeting took place at an east Fifth Avenue watering hold that hilariously was under surveillance of the PSP and AG.

5. It is rumored that the owner of the watering hole was subpoenaed to testify at PA Grand Jury early March 2014.

Only AG Kathleen Kane and her deputy attorneys know if their presentments will come down with any indictments and if they will be unsealed by the AG.

This very similar to the Philadelphia investigations, and the whole nation knows what happened there.

Docs Show Candidate, Chelsea Clinton's Mother In Law, Turned To Own Charity In Time Of Need

Marjorie Margolies was in a tough spot. The year was 2001, and her then-husband, former Democratic Rep. Ed Mezvinsky, had just been indicted for fraud and was bound for prison. Margolies, herself a former congresswoman, filed for bankruptcy protection, but the claim would be rejected. The couple's fortune was liquidated, and her attempt at a political comeback had failed, as she had dropped a bid for the U.S. Senate.

That was then. More than a decade later, her son Marc Mezvinsky would marry presidential daughter Chelsea Clinton, and Margolies would launch another attempt at a comeback. Today, she is the frontrunner in a crowded Democratic primary for her old suburban Philadelphia seat in Congress. The primary will be held May 20, and the winner is assumed to be able to coast to general election victory in the heavily Democratic district.

But for that moment in 2001, Margolies' life was falling apart. So she turned to charity. Her own.

According to documents obtained by The Huffington Post, as Ed Mezvinsky's fraud was exposed, Margolies doubled her own salary as head of a small, largely taxpayer-funded charity into the six figures, attempted to have the charity renovate and lease a mansion in which she would live, billed the charity for her automobile lease and other expenses, and required charity staff to assist with her other responsibilities as a faculty member at a local university.

The Huffington Post earlier reported that over the past several years, Margolies was paid an unusually large salary given the size of her charity, Women's Campaign International, whose revenue in recent years was in the very low millions. In defending that salary in December, WCI noted that the charity's board of directors determines compensation -- not Margolies, who still runs the charity.

I like Ken and will vote from him in November.

He is smart and honest enough to not be victimized by an AG and PSP sting operation.

Peoples for State Representative. He did not cook the books at the Palisades.

The guy that took care of Porky ( per phone conversation set up as a sting operation ) will win by a landslide. The voters have short memories in the McKeesport area. And more good news down the road is McKeesport students are now in the bottom ten schools of all PA for poor grades.......I see many graduating becoming pimps, hookers, druggies, council members, school board members, mayors , and setting up gambling devices all over the Mon Valley and any other election positions open for the dumb to keep voting them in.,,,,,,HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
