Understood?

Land purchases aren't hurting McKeesporters. With all the unsecure, abandoned buildings and land left over who cares. He prevented you from your nasty land use plans. We applaud the very nice, intelligent city controller of McKeesport.

Which idiot are you on the computer typing on the tax payers or government handouts to McKeesport?

Do you mean like the mayor having some structures demolished on some lots in his neighborhood ahead of other homes on the list, and then try to sneak this past council using the vacant property committee that he controls.

Too bad, Council President Segina exposed that the mayor was purchasing these vacated properties. So much for negativity neutralization and transparency.

Should the Feds be investigating this sneak transaction? Is there a federal statute prohibiting sneak activities related to purchase of tax delinquent land in the city?

Both of them should be arrested for land purchases. The mayor used his influence to have the land cleared that he wanted. The controller and mayor had inside information that was up on the internet or public tax delinquent information available to anyone for the asking. That is a serious federal crime in the twisted minds of some.

I would guess your reference to the above site should silence all those puppets that persisted to ridicule anyone who mentioned the City and Pork Chop were under investigation by the State Police.

Mayor Mike said the City was provided with no information related to the resulting indictments. Yet, the AG subpoenaed the records of licensed video devices from the City. How do you reconcile your conflicting statements mayor? Another, cover up lie?

How would you characterize the reputation odors of Orie, Veon, DeWeese, Perzel, Fumo, Mellow, Imbrogno, and Habay these days?

Mr. Carr who I really like as a person is in "dutch" as they say. The issues he is confronted with are overwhelming and almost insurmountable. His future political and business ambitions have been essentially obliterated by one indictments and many tax liens.

It seems that his only defense is to flip to be a state's cooperating witness. On top of this Cherepko and Brewster will distance themselves from Mr. Carr. Dan went from the Palisades and IV penthouse to the dog house.

The first right move for Mr. Carr would be to immediately resign from all city appointments and Council. It is his decision what to do with his personal interest in the Lions organization.

We wish Dan the best possible outcome of these complex and difficult situations. It will not smell like roses.

We thank the Daily News Saturday edition for listing the contributions from the Pork Chop and his spouse to the Honorable Senator Brewster.

The Senator was having a little difficulty in recalling these contributions to a Post-Gazette reports.

Thanks Daily News for clearing up the Senator's mind for us and the Senator.

Nice job News Report Patrick Cloonan. The truth will ultimately survive and rule.

I know nothing is not a very viable and foolproof defense when phone lines conversations are recorded and former supporters may flip.

Do you think Mayor Mike is cooperating fully with the investigation? It certainly would seem to make sense for the mayor to be as forthcoming as possible so residents of the Mon Valley can be assured that the 16 people indicted are not the norm when it comes to Mon Valley politics. It certainly would be refreshing for all mayors, police chiefs, and district magistrates to step forward and opening claim ignorance to the types of goings-on that took place in McKeesport. Now is not the time to hide behind the no comment reply.

Is it possible that all police chiefs in the Mon Valley are like Holtzman? I would like to hear some sort of response from the other chiefs in the Mon Valley to make sure that crime and corruption are not taking place on a daily basis.

If there are illegal video poker machines, sports betting and other openly criminal violations occurring in your town, more than likely some sort of payoff is going to your police chief, mayor and district magistrate. The only other option would be that these elected officials and public servants are deliberately leaving money on the table.

That does not happen in a democratic-controlled local government, especially with the protection offerd by the Zappala Crime Family.

Now is the time to ask questions and demand your fair share of the monies. Why should worthless politicians like Gergely and Brewster get the money and hardworking residents of the Mon Valley are struggling to make ends meet.

The sting operation on Gergely surely indicates a chummy relationship with the Pork Chop. This has all implied and inferred that Gergely was benefiting from the Pork Chop in tangible and intangible ways. This can only be confirmed if Gergely is named on subsequent indictments.

As of this time, Senator Brewster has not be implicated by the news media although his interview with the Post Gazettes was somewhat weird, rambling, incoherent, and not truthful. We all know that he received considerable contributions from the Pork which do not equate to an indictment.

If I were Gergely's attorney I would offer the following alibi. My client played both sides of the fence in order to help nab the unscrupulous Porky. My client contacted the most trust-worthy law enforcement officer he knew to share the information and proceed in a lawful manner. The telephone conversation with the Porkster was merely a ruse to gain his confidence until the proper authorities could take over. If you haven't guessed by now, the most trust-worthy law enforcement officer that Gergely contacted was Lt. Mark Holtzman. And now you know the rest of the story.

Street rumor has it that Mayor Cherepko also received considerable contributions from Mr. Melocchi.

If that is true, does anyone know how much?

Now he has plenty of time to run the dirtiest democratic-controlled town with no interuptus.

One little subtle point you missed. It is the cleanness of the contribution. Selling your home does not result in dirty money.

Campaign contributions are legal. It the corroboration between the contributions and vendors. This is a classic pay for play scheme which could be illegal. The City vendor list and City employee directors correspond to the campaign financial reports.

Some may consider that a form of maceing.

This maceing shakedown is what got the Turnpike Commission seven indicted.
