The judge of Mr. Shelly's case can decide to hold him for trial and tie him up in the courts for years before he gets cleared of the false charges against him. If it were you, would you want the case heard in local court or in a court room where none of the actors were known? Shelly has gone on record as stating that he has complete confidence in the local Magistrate's impartiality. I agree but are we right or are we naive? Your honest comments and your votes are appreciated. This is a man's (Shelly) career at stake.

I never considered this for a second and stand by my faith in the Magistrate. You do raise a legitimate question though. I will consult an attorney on the matter for a professional opinion.
Though the topics polls have proven very unreliable (they are unscientific in nature and can be "stuffed" or so it appears), I AM curious to hear what the Topix public thinks about this issue. Thanks. Paul |

Wow! I truly did not expect such an overwhelming response to this. Thank you all. It seems as if you folks are very distrusting of the powers that be and their reach. I will take it under advisement.

WOW overwhelming response 36 total votes. You live in a world of make believe. With all the support you get in Topix 2011 will give you about 535 votes. You really do need help. Prozac will help you just fine. |

Despite public opinion, I will NOT ask for a change of venue. I only wish I had been taken to see Mr. Riazzi for my arraignment. These charges would have been dismissed by now for lack of evidence or witnesses. Regardless of the outcome of my prelim, I will stand by Judge Riazzi as a man of impeachable character, honesty and fairness.
Maybe I'll see some of your there on the 13th at 9:00 AM. Pauk |

Paul, Do not underestimate the reach of the Mayor. I like Gene Riazzi too but why take a chance? It is suspicious that he kicked your other two minor cases out of his courtroom but wants to hear the case that can cause you the most damage isn't it? Be smart. Get this one moved. You have a career and a family to think of.

B., You are the third person today alone that has told me to do so. I'll consult with my attorney on Monday and relay the concerns I am receiving. Have a great Fourth! Be Safe, Paul |

1 Paul can appeal it, then they will ask what the judge is doing in Mckeesport. After speaking to several people whom been to Pittsburgh regularly, they stated there is a lot of problems from the borroughs and cities such as Mckeesport allowing cases to go higher that should be dismissed, or otherwise terminated at the small court-room level of judgment. The mayor does have a long reach, it does definitely reach Riazzi, but if the carefully consider all of the details - they truthfully have nothing because non civil suits cases need to be spot on, one hundred percent, while civil only need to be more than likely by fifty-one percent likely. I know these cases are run more like civil suits in the lower courts that all end up in Pittsburgh, that is a true part of the Allegheny problem currently. Perhaps this needs to go on to ignite changes, and effect the system as a entire whole since against a local councilman. |

I plan on speaking to Rege this week. His only comment to me has been "I know you are NOT guilty!".
I always liked Rege. We scrap from time to time (verbally) but he has always had my respect. |

Paul broke from the Topix flock and decided to stick with Justice Riazzi for a venue. He showed faith in The Honorable Mr. Riazzi and I believe he made the right decsion. Euguene Riazzi is not for sale. That must drive Brewster crazy. Didn't he push Gene?
