The blind could do better

Mckeesport, PA

Why are the faces of the mayor, admin and council's faces on the city homepage, and every other page featured on the city website?

Why are their faces larger than the marina, bandshell and other places of interest shown?

And lastly, why are they all grouped together in a Dollar Store picture frame format?

How does any of that attract new people and businesses to the city?

It's long overdue that we start "Working together to build a better website".

First of all, their egos are bigger.

Secondly, their egos are bigger than those places.

Third, because it's cheap.

Fourth, it won't attract new businesses because it looks like the Lions Club let the city have a webpage.

And lastly, somebody thought their kid "knows ALL about the interweb and all that stuff."

Will RICO Come Into Play

Mckeesport, PA

Will the present alleged and rumored investigations by the Attorney General's office into illegal gaming and slot machine devices in the Mob Valley eventually interest or spread to federal government jurisdiction?

It seems that the horizontal and vertical scope of these numerous incidents qualify these nefarious activities as candidates for RICO act consideration.

Will the Mob Valley be renamed RICO Central if the Feds become interested in the slots consortium or cartel?

Those who may have recently received communications from the State Grand Jury may soon have large continuous tears streaming down both legs if the Feds jump in to help the AG.

Watch out for the perjury trap when being interviewed or subpoenaed. Informants, wired contacts/friends, and phone line monitoring may be your worst nightmare and worry.

You may be 100% correct that "someone or some entity" HAD all those powerful persons in their pocket. But that is past tense and pre-State Grand Jury and subpoenas and pre-December 11, 2012 widespread slot raids.

The subpoenas, wire taps, wired informants, non-wired informants, and immunity seekers will neutralize your "fixes" in a heart beat.

You must hope and pray that the Feds stay silent on this one and let the State AG prosecute the accused, accordingly. Fed penalties are much less forgiving or outright severe.

The RICO act if implemented by the Fed will decimate the graft, kickbacks, stuffed envelopes, and luscious political contributions in the Mob Valley for a significant time. This could drastically change the political and government landscape of the Mob Valley and cure the nepotism disease.

As heard on the street there are multiple scandals or cover ups in various stages of investigations. From the law of statistics at least one will result in indictments - turnpike indictments, WO investigations, WO Animal shelter allegations, MPD overtime cover-up, BP station owner insurance fraud conviction, MASD historic construction management contracts, Cornell sex scandal fallout is still pending in court, gaming machine raids, City trash, city employee selling tires, missing money from city scrapped materials, missing copper at MACM, missing money from MACM employees lockers, personal use of fire truck by a city fireman covered up by city administration, the $1 million illegal MACM host fee, the list of play for pay vendors for MACM, MHA and the City, the state subpoena of city mechanical device $500 fee records, the state subpoena for Palisades records, campaigning on city time by the solicitor, rumors of numerous tapped phone line notifications, etc.

You might not be touched but someone could be cuffed! Former employees - City Administrator, City CD Director, City PW Director, Director of the Palisades, and the MACM Superintendent will make up an interesting witness pool for the authorities.

The above could result in nothing, but on the other hand ????

It is up to the authorities to name will be indicted and perhaps convicted. It is up to the judge to name who will be fined or incarcerated.

This was not so funny for Veon, DeWeese, Habay, Ories, Fumo, Prezel, Skiba, and Imbrogno. And, it will not be so funny for Danny Patel after his sentencing in July.

Does McKeesport HRC, or Administrative Code or the Third Class City Code have an identical prohibition? How about the State Ethics Commission weighing in on this.

An unnamed Western PA Municipality

Article IV: Elected Officials

C-17 Prohibitions.

No elected official shall hold any other elected office, nor hold any appointed office of the Municipality, nor be an employee of the Municipality during the term for which the official was elected.

No former elected official shall hold any compensated appointed Municipality office nor employment with the Municipality until one year after the expiration of the term for which the official was elected.

Why on earth would you highlight sections of "an unnamed W. PA. municipality HRC and pose the question of whether the McKeesport HRC has similar restrictions?
Or are you simply being coy? Boy.

Is City Top Heavy

Mckeesport, PA

#18 Jul 9, 2013
With the burly dimensions of the top three in city administration, could one now say we are top heavy?

I would estimate that the combined weight of these top three is between 750 to 800 pounds.

We need Pittman back to reduce this average. Or, Chris Christie to increase it?
