No.. My House is just fine.. Worth alot more than what it was when I bouthgt it.. and it is indeed a great neighborhood. Houses are for sale because of Neighborhood turnover... old people dying off or moving into rest homes.. families selling that have no use for the house... 3 in my neighborhood have been purchased this month. Yes, one of them is on the same block where the confederate flag flies proudly. You racially inferior Prick.

You people act like you live in treesdale. FYI you don't....you live in shitty ass McKeesport. Wake the up and quit bitching about property values and the like....last time I checked no one wants to live in white oak/McKeesport/ Haler Heights/etc. And as for the bitter old attorney that started all of this, if the ordinance doesn't get changed or lifted if I were the owner of the land that she's so fond of looking at, I'd put up a big fence so she can't see it anymore. Then shell die old, alone, and without her view.
How many mortgages will Jimmy have to take out to fence off his property?

{{Can I let you in on little secret? There is an ordinance on the types and heights and setback for privacy fences or barriers.}} Now I will not tell the Lady Lawyer about it if you do not tell Jimmy about your nuisance fence idea.

If you need proof, drive around the area in question and look at how many houses are up for sale, yeah people are just lining up to live in that dying neighborhood. The area has much bigger problems than kids rides dirt bikes and quads....but whatever makes you feel better about more than likely being upside down on your house with little to no chance of getting any return on it when you sell.......but it's the bikes fault, right? You racist prick.
I doubt many of the "old geasers" are under water on their mortage.

The ATV Ban keeps the value of our homes higher.

LOL Yeah, because there are always stories about rogue ATV and dirt bike riders in McKeesport in the paper.

Puhelease.

The only thing this ban is about is lady lawyer being able to go onto her deck and see and hear what she wants to see and hear.....she couldn't give a rat's behind about what goes on in the rest of the city.

Have never seen her in the papers before trying to improve McKeesport.

Maybe her next plan is to go to council to deal with that terrible nuisance laughter coming the pesky kids on the bikes in the street. Certainly THAT noise is stressful and causes illness. Not to mention that drivers have to apply their brakes to slow down around kids in the street, leading to all sorts of nasty over-exertion strains in drivers' legs and ankles from applying the brakes.

Face it -- lawyers are the scourge of our society -- always looking for problems where there are none and blowing issues out of proportion to make money. Just because this woman is retired doesn't mean it is any less of that issue. She isnt in it for money, thats all. She's in it for personal gain though.

Hard to change an old leopard's spots.

Does your opinion extend to our 2X DUI city solicitor?

Is her personal gain trying to maintain the value of her home and others in the area? This seems to me she is doing a public service and trying to protect the safety of child ATV operators.

Yes, I would include our solicitor. ANY solicitor, He an attorney, right?

Unfortunately, because of all the other attorneys in the world, we need to have one as part of our city structure as well.

Her personal gain here is to preserve what she views as her backyard.

That is fine, we all have that right.

But she did not approach it that way.

She cares not one iota about safety of our kids..,..

Example - kids play on our streets.

If she did care at all, she would be in council chambers insisting that we need an ordinance making people NOT park all over the road, park in front of stop signs, speed, roll thru stop signs and the list goes one. Instead, to ensure the safety of kids, she would just ban the kids altogether. I wont be surprised if she does do this -- it would further her agenda for her "peace and tranquility".

She masked the real reason for her ban -- the youngs riding on their property -- with the wider issue of illegal riding elsewhere, with safety and air issues thrown in.

Its called "bolstering a case"....using all sorts of OTHER sub-issues in order to confuse the MAIN issue.

Great sneaky lawyer tactic and it worked for her.

Give it a break already, Shadango.
This wasn't a one woman crusade. Lot's of residents in HH were against turning a 1.5 acre wooded lot in their midst into an ATV playground for kids and weekend warriors.
Other folks in the community viewed it as something that could happen in their neck of the woods.
Some folks supported it because they are sick and tired of inconsistencies at city hall regarding who / what / when dictates that established rules and regulations should be followed.

The lady lawyer resident was the best person to step up and take the lead. But ANY resident could have produced the same result. All that was needed was the backing of the neighbors and the community at large and a blatant violation of ordinance laws.

'Nuff said.

--- nice of you to join us on topix, lawyer lady!
You are just plain wrong.
You blew the whole issue way out of proportion.
You could have worked it out with Jimmy.....but chose to go the legal route instead.
Congrats.
You are the poster child for "crappy neighbor of the year". And "lots" of HH residents think THAT.
