The Mayor does. As a councilor who has been provided no access to the auditor's report, I don't. I will when I am assured that the taxpayers have been made whole and every penny of misappropriated funds has been returned. I am not looking for names of officers or to hurt their families. I just want the taxpayers who I am responsible to be made whole. That is what i am PAID (a little) to do! If you agree with me, vote "no", if you agree with Mayor Brewster and trust his word categorically, vote yes. Very simple question. Yes or No? Paul

And it has come to be witnessed, that Caesar proclaimed “CASE CLOSED”
And, his councilors, scholars, and flock bowed and then bellowed in a silent roar,“And so it be as said.”
Hail to Caesar! Hail to Caesar! Intoned seven blue attired gladiators as they stealthy returned to their sentry posts to service and protect totally unscathed by an administrative skirmish.
And, then Caesar proclaimed: Let the sound of the victory trumpets resonate though out the Valley of the Mon.
And, Caesar anointed each gladiator a potent member of his political militia
And, so it has been done for 2009 AD!

And, Caesar anointed each gladiator a potent member of his political militia And, so it has been done for 2009 AD! All empires, now matter how large such as this have all come to an end. No empire, no matter how brutal and long lived, have always failed in the end. Actually Christianity won over, new vines have grown forth. Mckeesport is a much easier nut to crack, some of the political machine and old guard is closing while many do not even realize. Mckeesport figures very little as a Caesar, with less than half its population and many people leaving on a month to month basis. When most people have no job and live on government aid, and Mckeesport is a much larger proponent of government aid (a much larger welfare check) in forms of "city aid." Roman empire was self sufficient, no government aid was afforded to its people. Mckeesport is more like a sprawling ghetto under the current low level power hungry that be. All real problems come from the immense energies and efforts spread forth in the lust of power. The taxpayers have been cheated, as anything that needs to be hidden assuredly hides very true and real problems. Mckeesports future is at stake, and is more like a balding, bad toothed caveman rather than any Rome. A prophets dream would reveal a large sewer and people trying as they may to escape. Recall the nothing of the Neverending Story? No where near a comparison to Caesars Rome, too many people are laughing already at the thought! Only God overcomes, and nothing else matters - Recall Jesus stated he would the the very earth was on fire right now 2,000 years ago, and is in the Watchword Bible, regular Bibles of the current Christian Era. No "Rome" has ever overcome the larger numbers of the Christian population after Jesus arrival and resurrection! God Bless.

I am not sure the JB has the dictatorial authority to declare this case closed. That is JB’s opinion. JB intimidates all elected officials and others with the fear of retaliation and legal transgressions of violating the personnel confidential principle. The community is infuriated and incensed with his dictatorial decision. I would like think that one of the following will have the courage or civic responsibility to challenge the JB edict. JB caught many off balance when he unilaterally concluded this issue closed under the umbrella of personnel confidential. Will any of the following exercise their authority or civic responsibility? Time will tell? One or more of the seven council members, controller, auditor, city solicitor, DA Zappala, AG Corbett, The Daily News, Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Pittsburgh, KDKA-TV, Mr. Marty Griffin, State Police, Court of Public Opinion, or the FBI may be getting some calls from irate citizens? If he keeps the lid(s) on this one he should be on his way to Washington DC. I am quite certain if JB was given another chance he would have responded differently. It is quite difficult to unring the bell on a highly charged issue. I hope he is able to resolve this to the satisfaction of all and include all elected officials in the process. I am saddened to see this issue spin into this "case closed" twilight zone. JB worked too hard to loose a grip on this one.

Now do not call the DEP on this one -- it is Marty Griffen who sorts out other fishy things. He knows more than all of your who were elected to represent us. Why? Marty Griffin for council! Pittman for talk show host!

Seems from a street perspective to be that way, but I now see #1 & #2 prevents any problems regardless. Besides he wants a Senator position (laughs out loud). If Coroline keneday cannot get in, he assuredly cannot, but I do not think there will be any consideration regardless. Nice to hear from you again Debbie.

Excuse my typographical error please, Coroline Kennedy.
Perhaps "cleaning Mckeesport"will be his next goal, and we could afford him a couple of trash pickers to help the rest of the city workers out.
Who wants to pass a hat around?
It's a Wonderful Life!

But did you know he worked for Casey when Casey was auditor general? Did not mean to suggest a Fed job that requires a vote. Something, like a high paying GS-15 or GS-16 or on Casey's staff. He is very qualified for any of these. He is very good at damage control and BHO needs a lot of help in this area.

Maybe of a mere one hundred people, a duck will join in. Will the mayor have a Democratic form for the duck to fill out too? Especially after noting a non political rally. Would that more were a rally of God, and those that will serve God other than political. In dictatorships, they throw out doing for others and tell people what to do, or placate politeness at rallys should a "lightning strike" not be available to do. I do not find any references to any of Brewster working for Casey, and for that matter who knows if Casey will be in office by the time such is even possible. Quick question: Are you of the TCA? Because such believe Mayor James Brewster would be an excellent candidate for mayor of Pittsburgh. Where is the duck?(Laughs) God of Heaven and Earth knows. God Bless.

Don't agree with the BHO statement, economy is much better under his leadership and we are FINALLY moving forward with many positive initiatives. I have no idea what the Mayor's plans are for 2011 or beyond. I do know mine. ;) Paul

Knew you had to run a business because you're one of the smarter people around. It must be cleaan, effective and decent - Because you are. If they do not like you or the way you part you're hair, they will fine you for parking as much as a half a foot from a curbing while several other people may park two to three feet out into the street, and in front of a solid yellow line! I know all about it.
