LOL. The 3rd and 4th teamers were blamed for the Hempfield loss last week in tonight's Daily Schnooze. Do we even have a 4th team, I mean the squad is so small!

Anyways, 3 starters are expected back for the game against Woody High. So, no excuses this week, right? Don't bet on it!

Who is next in the blame game? Won't be Ward himself! No, he's a friggin genius. He's Chuck Noll, Bear Bryant, and Knute Rockne all rolled into one.

No, e is Coach Ward. Nothing more, nothing less. I have forgotten more about football than you idiots have ever known. Ward is a solid coach with good Morals and a great work ethic. He is instilling that into a morally depraved group of thugs and criminals who have never had anyone who actually gave a crap about them. The one's who can't conform to a real team mentality, will be gone. It will take time. I agree, it will be a Single A roster for the next few years, but with the Freshman and Sophmores getting the bulk of the playioing time, they will rise when they are upper classmen. It is all about talent and attitude. The upper classmen on this team are devoid of both.

Coach Ward is clever. He deliberately lost the first game and the team seemed to perform below the line. This was by design and is his psychology strategy. Nice move Coach Ward.

This is a trap set up for all subsequent games. They will all come in believing that the Tigers are a push over and then he will spring his trap with a slap by the long Tiger tail.

The rabid mob of Tiger fans is not very happy with the direction of the program and are looking for answers. The most common question I heard when at the games Friday and Saturday is when are they going to get rid of this coach! Most believe that he has destroyed the program in less than 3 short years and want him out now. Not that I have ever been a supporter of this coach, but unlike many I was willing to give him a chance. After watching the Varsity game Friday I think he needs to go as well! My reasons are there seems to be a lack of desire, lack of respect, lack of discipline, and our kids seemed out of shape. These are all things that fall on the head coach.

The head coach, the AD, and who ever hired him. Long season gets much longer if Stockett has to miss much time!

No, it should be "Who is Coach Ward going to blame for the Tigers next loss?"

The back-up QB's weren't prepared. So it's them and the coaching staff minus Coach Ward. Use your head man. Nothing is Coach Ward's fault!

The school board and the former superintendent should be blamed for letting George Smith go and hiring Ward who was and is clearly not qualified for the job!

Well done.
For some programs, winning 14 games in two years, earning a conference title and qualifying for the playoffs in back-to-back seasons would be considered a great success.
In fact, Jim Ward would’ve done just about anything to have that kind of success during his previous head coaching stints at South Allegheny and Yough.
But when Ward was named McKeesport’s coach three years ago, expectations changed.
“My goal wasn’t to come here and average seven wins a year,” Ward said.“The goal was to come here and compete for a state championship and have a legitimate chance to do that. We haven’t done that. It hasn’t been enough.”
It hasn’t been close to being enough when you take into account what McKeesport accomplished right before Ward replaced legendary coach George Smith three years ago.
McKeesport went 56-16 from 2004-09, which included the school’s second state championship in 2005. Ward lost nearly half as many in two seasons including thorough beatings to end last year — 38-0 to Gateway and 42-7 to McDowell in a first-round playoff game.
“Nobody has to worry about me being content on 14 wins in two years,” said Ward, who has a 20-40 career record.“To me, that’s not enough. It does need to be more. I will be the first to say it. I am not happy, especially how things ended last year. It has left a sour taste in my mouth.”
Ward is hoping his young team will help get rid of the bad taste. He is expecting at least 14 underclassmen — seven on each side of the ball — to start the season opener Aug. 31 against Hempfield but will rely on a pair of seniors to take McKeesport to the next level.

For the blame game Ward supporters.

Note - This article is dated and has absolutely nothing to do with the present inept under achieving Mckeesport High School Coach.

This may put things in perspective.

I hear he likes to blame everyone else, maybe he needs to look no further than in the mirror to see who is responsible for the losses!

The Slugster is for a Tiger victory. Do not try to blame the Slugster for not winning.

The "power brokers" tried to blame the Slugster for have an invisible hand gun. That false accusation failed.

Go Tigers and bring back a victory. The Slugster knows what it is like to be an underdog, but the Slugster came out victorious. Play your best and above all be a sportsman win or lose.

Blame smith, eckels, and hampton all they know how to do is talk bad about ward after all three quit. Oh smitty quit for his coaches. Not really he quit on the kids. One of his own former players who is now the principal doesn't even want him around.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
