McKeesport non official citizens are routing for the Tigers.

McKeesport officials under senator Brewster are routing for the illegal McKeesport politician gamblers.

He's off getting some senatorial sleep as far as McKeesport is concerned.

Confucius say:“Do not confuse deep and devout meditation with senatorial soundless slumbering.”

An anticipated release from the esteemed one's PR department; I am surprised that the local news media does not reproduce the picture with a caption of: "Our beloved Senator in deep and profound meditation -- he never rests from his weighty responsibilities. "

We pray and trust the following resolution of criminal investigation results in Philadelphia by AG Kane does not work its way west to exonerate the 16 indicted in the Mob Valley the and alleged ongoing investigations. This article does not enhance ones confidence very much in PA law enforcement integrity or decision making.

How much of the taxpayer's money did AG Kane waste on this shut down undercover 3 year investigation?

I guess that the intercepted communication between Mr. Melocchi and a state representative could now be determined as poorly conceived? AG Kane's reasons and defense for dropping the case are hilarious, embarrassing and unbelievable. How can the honest citizens of the Commonwealth not lose confidence in the AG's office after a fiasco like this one. You got them on tape for three years and then you let them walk?

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane on Sunday lashed out at critics of her decision to shut down an undercover investigation that had captured leading Philadelphia Democrats – including four members of the state House delegation – on tape accepting money.
Kane blamed “cowardly anonymous sources” for providing “an inaccurate and sensational version of the details” of the case, which were made public in an article in The Inquirer on Sunday.

The paper reported that prosecutors in the Attorney General’s Office had run a sting for three years that captured at least five city Democrats on tape accepting cash or money orders, and in one case a $2,000 bracelet. In the end, no one was charged.

In a statement Friday, Kane said the investigation was poorly conceived, badly managed, and tainted by racism. She also said those who criticized her handling of the case were sexist.

The only thing missing from the holy trinity of vicimization is homophobia. But I’m sure Kane will get to that.

And then she went down to the newspaper office and refused to talk on the advice of her lawyers.

It was a surreal scene that you expect to see when a criminal suspect comes down for an interview, not when a public official goes to meet with a newspaper.

Kane arrived at a Thursday morning meeting with Inquirer editors and reporters, flanked by a pair of lawyers, Sprague and his son, Thomas A. Sprague. The meeting began on an unusual note when the elder Sprague announced that Kane was his client – and that she would not speak.

Her office had asked for the meeting following the newspaper’s story Sunday that disclosed the corruption investigation and her decision to halt it.

During the meeting, Sprague suggested that The Inquirer may have been used by the sources of its stories –“wittingly or unwittingly” as a “weapon” to attack Kane to defend themselves from potential charges of wrongdoing in the management of the probe.

“I intend to look at the investigation from the very beginning to the conclusion of it, and in terms of what has been published, by this paper and others, to take appropriate action on behalf of the attorney general against those responsible for the defamatory and the false publications that have been made,” Sprague said.

Editor William K. Marimow defended the newspaper’s treatment of the story.“In my opinion, this is precisely the kind of issue that requires public scrutiny, specifically the conduct of public officials who accepted cash or gifts from an undercover agent and the quality of a three-year investigation launched and ended by a state law enforcement agency.”

Democrats however are not fond of public scrutiny. The Party of Corruption wouldn’t last very long if it had to follow the law.

McKeesport has a monopoly the electric company was not afforded as a legal operating company. McKeesport politicians involved can keep illegal gambling a monopoly in McKeesport again with the Viking still open.

If the Viking parking lot is full it might not be the gambling at issue, but the fire codes ignored!

Daniel Carr, indicted by the attorney general, also owner if the Viking. A friend to McKeesport police and they a friend to Carr, where does McKeesport corruption end?

Carr currently has 5 charges in the Pittsburgh Court if Common Pleas: 2 Felonies, and three additional charges part of the illegal gambling in McKeesport at his business. He owns the Viking and allowed John Elash to drive drunk as the operator of The Palisades in McKeesport. If you do nothing or remain neutral, the city will continue to fail quicker. Every top manager or CEO of the best companies fix problems, not ignore or enable and condone them.

No one is merely serving coffee when illegal gambling is all around them. No political connected does anything nice for anyone in McKeesport shirt of selfish gain behind the gesture. Example: coffee was served to gamblers paid out on machines in The Viking without the license afforded by Pennsylvania state law.

The gambler racketeers in McKeesport served coffee as long as citizens were losing money on the illegal Viking machines.

Close The Viking.

Street rumor has it that someone intercepted a sharp object at a well known Versailles Avenues video gambling establishment this week end.

How come a WO gambling establishment is loaded with video machine? Where are you PSP and AG Kathleen Kane? I that you new state warehouse for confiscated machines?

New machines are now located in Clairton, West Newton, Greensburg, North Versailles, Shadyside ( just to name a few of the hundreds located across the state ) as old ones are brought in to work on, the newer ones go out. The corruption runs from the east to the west and north to south in Pa. No one knows who's running the show here, but these fat cats bring in more money in one day that Rivers Casino brings in a month.

If your believe otherwise, you're a fool ..........Think of a golf ball having those little dimples ( approx. 380-432 , depending on brand of golf ball ) that's the number of places in Pa illegal gambling machines are located in buildings, warehouses, box trucks , etc.

Funny how we hang the little guy and let the people running the whole show slip under the radar.

You are astonishing correct and accurate. What you state is so called horizontal corruption IMO. Unfortunately as vehemently proclaimed by the black Philadelphia DA and others intimately involved, the integrity and wisdom of AG Kathleen Kane's office has been seriously compromised with a decision to drop a slam dunk a 3 year investigation of corrupt Phila politicians. This is vertical corruption.

About 5 Philadelphia black elected officials were caught in a sting operation taking bribes and Kane dropped the case. Seems like the Philadelphia political powerhouse persuaded her to compromise indisputable evidence and her integrity. This is insult to her office and ever law abiding Commonwealth resident.

This should embolden the Mob Valley political machine to use a similar technique. I would suspect and hope that there will be considerable unwanted scrutiny by the news media and the fearless Philadelphia DA of the dubious DA decision. He office has to be exposed and investigated.

I guess she was emulating the popular image of notorious "Philadelphia Lawyers." I hope the national news media gets hold of this and seeks to interview the DA. Her defense already is like the national IRS official - I will not talk on the advice of my attorney.

Based on the this brand of justice it appears that the Orie sisters were framed.
