I would tend to agree that there is a lot of baggage that Senator has a tendency to abruptly dismiss or give a slight of the back hand to sweep it out of the conversation. We all know his is cocksure of himself like inmates and former Representatives DeWeese and Veon.

He is always quick with comebacks and put downs. If that does not accomplish the mission, he will always accuse the accuser being a negativity witch. This behavior pattern has always worked well especially with favorable Daily News spins to embolden him and a smearing of opposing opinions or the truths.

There would be nothing to be served by delineating all his numerous policy and statute digressions.

However, one noteworthy nefarious task should peak the mayor/senator’s and Mikey’s and authorities’ interest. Their solicitor and confidant worked profusely on the City clock to advance their political agenda for several years.

There are public financial political records, cell phone records, and employee witnesses of the solicitor diligently and enthusiastically campaigning for the Senator and Mayor Cherepko. The facts cannot be buried. These persons will not perjury themselves. This wealth of evidence could become the Achilles heel akin to the disintegration of Orie, Veon, DeWeese, Perzel and Habay political dynasties. Recall that it was their staffers that opted for immunity, which then facilitated and accelerated their political demise. Where are you AG and Governor Corbett on this transgression?

The apparent disinterest by the local new media in one of the largest gaming machine raids in the history of Mon Valley is testimony to the potential serious of this suppressed matter.

This is my take on the matter.

The City was much better off when JB was mayor. He would never let the following happen under his watch. Bring JB back before it is too late. The City desperately needs his skills and expertise.

There have been a lot more shootings now, the solicitor got a second DUI, a councilman was complicit in the gaming machine raids, two councilman are delinquent with their tax obligations, law enforcement was lax by letting the gaming machines to operate, the city was embarrassed by the gaming machine raids, a city employee was complicit in the gaming machine raids, former city employee and former mayor are complicit in the gaming machine operations;

The present mayor is bankrupting the MACM treasurer with $1 million host fee that is mysteriously funded; JB would never fire Mr. Pittman; the alleged City investigations would have been thwarted by the good senator, and he did not have a personal vehicle like the present mayor, he was much more benevolent than our present mayor by donating money to buy a flat screen TV for the senior’s center, and he would not accept NFL tickets from vendors, and he cordially relished control of IV to an esteemed and upcoming councilperson, many large business left the city;

JB brought in Rite Aid, JB brought in the Eden Park Blvd food market, JB brought in Lamberts, JB brought in Dunkin Donuts, JB saved Di’s Cornerstone restaurant; JB expanded the MACM pumping station on Walnut St; JB brought in a cleaning shop to replace Eddie’s; JB prohibited Elash from campaigning on City time, JB stopped the building of a third unnecessary elementary MASD school, JB is opposed to the ATV park in Haler Heights;

Yes, I believe that he had something to do aboout it, if such a ring actually exists. I believe this “sex ring thing” is figment of someone’s over zealous imagination. They seem obsessed with such a ring and to cast suspicion on others like JB,

However if such a ring exists, it is possible that he would have been instrumental in arranging to have an imbedded informant in the ring as one of his former mayoral responsibilities. The former mayor would not tolerate anything like this.

Only time will tell if and how this plays out. The major raids on the gaming machines were keep undercover until the authorities sprung the sting.

Allegheny County Election records, Campaign Financial Reports show that the raided gaming machine vendor contributed $1,500 on 8/20 & 25/2009 to Mr. Brewster's mayoral fund.

Also, Amanda Risha contributed $500 on 8/4/2010 but the senator claims he barely knew Patrick Risha? But we know from the federal indictment that Risha knew and plotted WMASD bid rigging with convicted Mr. Imbrogno.

Only four hours into the New Year and the Port records its first 2013 shooting on Versailles Avenue according to Channel 11 this early morning. No further details provided as the MPD is sorting it out. Looks like it was around the 1500 block.

We offer our prayers for all harmed and injured by this senseless act.

Let me concoct a hypothetical scenario of justice based on some recent events in the Port.

The comprehensive and acute gaming machine raids caught all the local “power brokers” way off balance. Apparently, it seemed like the MPD and DA and County Police were not involved. The local newspaper was virtually silent on the matter and we know why.

The Viking lounge was allegedly raided three times in the last six months. The Pork’s dynasty was penetrated, dismantled, and disintegrated within hours. This is unprecedented for the Mob Valley. One of the Pork’s cohorts has three big residences and never had any visible and gainful sources of income for years. It is intuitively obvious that the law enforcement entities (i.e., believed to be the AG, IRS, etc) had these gaming sites and the perpetrators of these illicit enterprises under surveillance for some time. The authorities really did their home work and executed the wide spread raids flawlessly.

To be so effective and efficient, one might hypothesize that authorized surveillance of electronic communications were conducted for some time and very productive. One might further hypothesize that from these surveillances tactics and some recent indictments (i.e., BP owner, former Clairton City Administrator) that these cooperating law enforcement agencies have identified or have strong evidence and insight about the payoff couriers’ identity,itinerary and contacts.

To continue to hypothesize, once these suspected “couriers” are interrogated by the authorities their penalties could be life changing, if they do not opt to cooperate or seek immunity. For example one might hypothesize income tax evasion, corruption, and the dreaded RICO Act violations. Most never envisioned their hard earned retirements in that context.

Consequently, ALL recipients of this unreported income may have an interview with the IRS among the other issues of corruption with other law enforcement entities. Mr. Huston, former owner of a Lylse Blvd. tavern, a nice James Street home, and other toys can attest to the rapid and efficient transfer of assets due to neglecting to report all income.

This is purely hypothesized and will remain as such, until and if a few indictments are announced by cognizant law enforcement agencies.

The sword of Damocles could hover over the future of some of these culprits and contribute to some sleepless nights. If the canaries sing, the sword could be a never ending threat to gaming trade beneficiaries’ domestic tranquility and freedom.

This is just pure speculation on my part as viewed from an outsider. Time may tell.

Still failing . Has anything changed except the name & the face ?? More murders , no new business bringing jobs , same old nepotism & cronyism . Elected 'failures' sitting on their dead asses with no plans except to wait for more state & gov't. money to roll in for yet another welfare, socialist program for the beggars .(which include the entire MDC)
They are incapable of any type of management. What have they done on their own in 20 years that didn't involve free money ? Only one thing - feathering their own nest & finding their inept offspring & butt-likkin cronies jobs at the taxpayer's expense.

The Federal RICO Act may be the needed game changer.

The RICO Act could also apply to former employees, former elected officials, and retirees. They are all suspects because none of them had the wisdom, courage or integrity to contact the authorities and expose the corruptions.

This sounds a little bit like the Penn State strategy of cover ups that was bungled and backfired with Jerry in the cage and others in the holding pen. Jerry was a former employee and retired but that was no barrier for the wheels of justice.

Some may elect to plea bargain to protect their future pensions.

I tend to take issue with your expertise on the RICO Act applicability. I believe based on the following that the RICO Act could be applicable to the organized deployment, protection, operation, and distribution of proceeds from the devices to their resident location owner(s) and to persons who permitted these devices to operate. Political contributions could be considered a work around to distribute proceeds. Proceed distributions to the resident owner locations and the device's owners should be subject the IRS code as taxable income.

It was once said by the authorities that the RICO Act was the nuclear bomb they needed to level the playing field with the bad guys and their organizations. It has worked fine more than once.

The RICO Act was specifically written to cover a very broad definition of racketeering, or organized illegal activity, precisely because the Mafia in the US has been engaged in so many different types of crimes. The act covers detailed cause of action provisions for types of interstate, institutional, and government fraud, such as banking fraud, mail fraud, and the trafficking of untaxed and unregulated goods. Where these provisions addressed the misuse or theft of property, the violation of personal rights, and coercion of individuals and businesses, they were open to interpretation by lawyers in civil cases that had nothing to do with Mafia activity.

As of 2011, the RICO Act has been invoked in lawsuits ranging from prosecution of the Hell's Angels motorcycle club and Catholic sex abuse cases to supposed crimes in Major League Baseball and against Pro-Life anti-abortion activists' practice of picketing in front of abortion clinics.
