Forward Township has something it hasn‘t in more than three years: a police chief.

On Monday, supervisors unanimously hired retired McKeesport police Deputy Chief Mark Holtzman to head the department.

Board of supervisors chairman Tom DeRosa said Holtzman was hired on Supervisor Ron Skrinjorich‘s recommendation. DeRosa said no other applicants were considered for the job.

We welcome you sir!!!!!

Chief, we wish you success and good will on your extended law enforcement career.

Be safe and be successful in improving their police force.

Forward Township's gain was the Port's loss. Foreward Township's public safety leadership is in excellent hands.

We can now label Forward Township as corrupt as McKeesport.

No mob valley municipality can compete with the Port for the corruption crown.

Perhaps they want to be known as the boro that tries harder to be more corrupt. For years, Avis was number 2, and they did quite well.

Some municipalities have an affinity for exemplary deportment. Haler Heights is a model municipality that has no violence or overt corruption. Some tell me that Haler Heights does not even have a police department or detective department.

They are so advanced that they even have an ATV stadium and wild game hunting preserves and a prominent senior high school.

Now that is genuinely funny. Thanks for the brutal sarcasm Q. Of course the supers name drop gave it away. When is the next meeting, I may choose my brown shirt or perhaps the blue.

You obviously didn't see who my reply was too. The link I quoted is from a story on another forum that's almost two years old. I'm keenly aware of Big Marks recent job acquisition.

The lapel pin should be "Respect."

Because they ran through the pile of money only they could get to open a business in McKeesport. And there wasn't enough paying customers to cover the tab for all the buddies who came in.

Yea! I heard that the well connected and city employees were given substantial discounts to patronize and populate the premises. Apparently, this fuzzy math did not compute.

We always paid full price.
