He'll hold his position on the school board and as a chief..........if the tax payers havent stormed the school board meetings by now asking for his resignation it shows the gutless cowards dont care all, they mouth off in here, but when meeting time conmes they hide under their rock.

I dont see the taxpayers storming the office of the chief asking for any resignation ,so where all the people that are upset over all this?

It's actually better that he keeps both positions, the solicitor in Forward Township is tide to the Zappala Crime Family as is the McKeesport School board. The chief is actually stuck between a rock and a hard place. Whatever decision is made to keep him on or off just helps to expose the Zappala Crime Family more and more.

I wonder how long till the good chief is forcibly relocated to the middle of the Mon. From what his lawyer is saying, it sounds like he's ready to roll on a more than a few people.
They blew up Joeys place for less.

Joey blue up Joeys place for the insurance money.

Yes, there are strong hints that he will flip, and others will follow very soon if not already in progress. I would expect that the authorities would want to follow where all the $green$ traveled.

All places involved including The Viking bar should have been closed. I think WTAE, WPXI and KDKA should run interviews by tracking all the politically McKeesport city hall friends to these people. Keep an eye on all of them and get a if the current vehicle plate numbers down.

Any citizen can do that!

Have the investigators go to the scrap yards and get the copies of the scrapped vehicles and whom sold plus received all the money! That money has to be signed for!

Focus should be from the same office that sent a fax to McKeesport city hall. FBI and AG can be notified of this good advice anytime!

Contact the investigators and track down the records (from all the scrap yards) of whom and how much McKeesport received for all scrapped vehicles owned by the city if McKeesport.

The Feds are way ahead of you.

The Federal Grand Jury subpoena that was submitted to Mayor Cherepko by fax on or about December 28, 2012 link was provided on Topix.

The FBI Special Agent and Federal Grand Jury demanded all the information on scrap vehicles, etc. from 2009 through 2012. They also requested copies of trash hauling billing slips and contracts for 2006 through July 31, 2012.

Looks like the Federal Grand Jury is scrutinizing Public Works Director Shermenti records. Recall that Mr. Shermenti was ordered by Mayor Brewster to hand carry monthly payment checks to Nickolich in Clairton. How stupid is an order of that nature?

The Feds have done nothing visible to the public since the records were subpoenaed from the PWD Mr. Shermenti's public works department. They investigation appears very dead.

Not too long ago Mr. Shermenti was proclaiming publically that the "investigation was dead and nothing was found and he is not going to jail." Nick must have an insider feeding him information because the investigation seems dead.

Then Mayor Cherepko and his puppet council reward Mr. Shermenti a $25,000 incentive to retire. This is to a individual who Mayor Cherepko knew early in the year that the Federal Grand Jury subpoenaed certain records from his department. It was further known that Mr. Shermenti was planning retire and did not need a $25,000 gift to help him decide.

From the side lines and this new public information, it appears the Mayor Cherepko cleverly orchestrated "HUSH MONEY" masqueraded as a retirement enticement with some saving to the City.

This kind of back fired somewhat because other employees near retirement found out about it and they demanded the same gift which cost the city your tax money. This is vintage Mikey buying future votes again with you tax money.

Why wasn't that part of the transparency by Mike Cherepko to the public? Cover up! The McKeesport usual.

Downplaying crime is the McKeesport city solicitor way. Slap on the hand and improper reduction of charges by Pennsylvania law.
