I think the property owner of the Giant Eagle shopping center needs to remove the tree's and shrubs from the corner of their lot. This impede's the view for drivers turning left from O'Neil Blvd as well as the kids not being able to see vehicles coming at them from this direction either.
This has been a problematic intersection for quite some time.
So sorry for the loss of Alyson, and prayers go out to her family and friends.
Not an accident

ABSOLITELY! The intersection needs re-engineered.

Close the "entrance" on that side, or move the light back to allow for that entrance to be in the open and regulated.

Giant Eagle wants to be in business there, they should push for the safety of the people coming in and out.

You two morons who posted previous to me need to shut the f*#k up! There isn't any liability on Giant Eagle or the driver of the truck or the engineering of the intersection! It was a horrible and tragic incident and may Alyson rest in peace with her father.

Not drunk posting because its too logical.

That's how posting ends up from the message system after the code to post is expired.

Drunk driving twice with a $15,000 pay raise is drunk decision making. John Elash should return the money to the cash strapped McKeesport. Or is it planned for use at the new strip club at 3711 Walnut Street in McKeesport that Brewster helped start up?

Tri Star Ford is under the same umbrella business as Tri Star Holdings Ltd. Construction. Tri Star Ford is connected to the new strip club. The lead manager of Tri Star Ford looks like the strip club owner. Names can be legally changed. Show us several Tri Star Ford employees protesting on site with the churches. If they aren't protesting publicly as Brewster isn't, they are in favor of the strip club opening at 3711 Walnut Street in McKeesport.

If you do not object or are neutral you are for it, because without opposition it will open. Birdseye was promised to be able to open regardless of time involved. He's been through this process of protest and patiently waiting before.

The dump truck that struck the girl is protected by McKeesport politicians. The driver is a friend to politicians in McKeesport. He's probably part of the Founders Hall construction/renovation unit that is parked at the school.

McKeesport Area school board awarded bids for the Founders' Hall addition/renovation project with several stipulations at Monday's special meeting.

Directors unanimously approved the action. Board vice president Joe Lopretto and Director Terri Kisan participated by phone. Directors Mark Holtzman and Stephen Kondrosky were absent.

Bids were awarded to Gurtner Construction for general construction at $8,685,000, A-1 Electric for electrical construction at $1,294,000, R&B Mechanical for mechanical construction at $3,510,000, and Wheels Mechanical for plumbing construction at $885,500. The awards are subject to appropriate PlanCon approvals, the issuance of all applicable permits, compliance with Act 34 requirements and review by district solicitor Gary Matta. PlanCon is an acronym for Planning and Construction Workbook, a set of forms and procedures used to apply for state reimbursement.

It is sad to hear such a thing.... i think there should be proper traffic control around schools. It is due to lack of ignorance by the driver as well as the school management that such things happen.

Hey jerk - SO your solution is do nothing? Just wait until it happens again?

FYI, moron, no one has said GE has any LIABILITY.....thats a legal term used by lawyers to say that it is someone's FAULT.

But there is a dangerous intersection that , if GE chose to, could be somewhat mitigated (another lawyer term that I will borrow) if GE took steps to better regulate the traffic in and out of their store's lot.

Hey Putz, you can go f*#$k yourself too you cussin' maggot! You are just another idiot who has a solution to everything! The solution is not finger pointing,it is to stress to children to cross busy intersections correctly. Which doesn't always work. So you can take your "lawyer terms" and shove them up your fat a*#!

John Jason Elash knows how to not only use legal terms in assumption, but to lie. He did plead guilty to his second DUI at 716 Long Run Road before a judge in Pittsburgh. He tried to lie and claim icy patches, but one McKeesport police officer was on scene hearing his conversation to the paramedics.

The McKeesport police officer said he smelled alchohol on his breath. The McKeesport police officer was close enough to smell alchohol on his breath. He drive drunk from the Palisades, after the Cherepko inauguration to become McKeesport mayor. John Jason Elash left the Palisades, which is run by McKeesport I indicted councilman Dan Carr. Daniel Carr whom owns The Viking Bar at O'Neil Boulevard in McKeesport. Carr is currently indicted with Ronald Melocchi aka Porky as head of illegal gambling in McKeesport.

John Jason Elash, aka Jason Elash. The court cases for John Elash appear under his first name of John, not Jason.

Daniel Carr is a current McKeesport councilman.
John Jason Elash recently received a $15,000 raise from Cherepko as his attempted DUI cover up reward.

All other McKeesport employees are expected to suffer by the McKeesport officials.

You turned on Ronald Melocchi and Gergely to point fingers and call them out? Name calling and finger pointing is what your doing now here on Topix, finger pointing negatively. You can be mad, but get the hell you need John Jason Elash.
