Excellent humor and a truth point well made. The Post-Gazette and Daily News have not linked the AG gaming matter to the controller, state senator, city solicitor or WO based state representative at this time.

State Police recorded phone conversations may capture some sports betting on the government's time or using government's resources paid for by tax payers. If any of the above never placed a sports bet call to the Porkster or Red, then they should not be a person of interest.

Almost every bar/tavern and work place have football polls, I play a few myself, 2 bucks a block here, 5 bucks a block there, etc... please dont lock me up or take away my freedom while placing illegal bets on a game that is tax free and kept from the IRS !
Does anyone have a bumper sticker that says, "I love to gamble illegally" ?

You missed a major difference. Office and group football polls always payout 100% of the take.

Where does the house cut of 50% go at the Sunday night concerts?

They are the only real choices. Controller is a gossip artist that says there might be something wrong here, maybe over there. Never one solitary solution to this problem. Ever. State sen and rep and the Cherepko admin have done great things. Made great decisions and kept the city afloat in the face of decreasing revenues and huge increases in costs, from healthcare to pension mmo's. These are our real problems. The mayor just bought an excavator to start demolishing blight in house! Maybe he should use it to turn over a few rocks and expose you rumor mongers and hippocrites!

McKeesport has only grown poorer and more dangerous since Brewster took over. The only people who would have a better outlook of the city are those who have benefited from new employment with the city or sewage authority or. apparently, have made money with illegal gaming or other nefarious activities. Which of these applies to you?

The mayor did not purchase an excavator. The taxpayers of the City, County, and State provided or will provide in the future the taxes for the excavator. Council authorized the purchase on the recommendation of the mayor. And, the city went into debt to finance its purchase.

Time will tell if this was a prudent and cost effective move.

Maybe the Mayor can claim he purchased those parcels under the radar on the cheap so that our public works demolition crew could get some on the job training. Yeah... that's the ticket.

Because it keeps creepy lying people like the controller who will always say whatever could be taken to look like wrongdoing to hurt people and their families. People who spend every day working hard to keep the city afloat. With real ideas and effort. Not just making up lies and innuendo to try and win an election. Brewster Gergely and Cherepko win because they are good for the city period.

If the Honorable Rep. Gergely was so good why did the State Police have a wire tap of him admitting that he was "connected" to Porky who ran an illegal million dollar gaming consortium?

The same wire tap captured that Marc would not forward the sting letter to the authorities. Why did he neglect to inform the authorities?

Why was over $15,000 unaccounted for when he operated the Palisades?

Why did he immediately donate Porky's contributions to a for profit charity after he knew the AG and State Police and grand jury subpoenas were closing in on him?

Why was part of the contributions for Porky deposited in his personal checking account? This could be tricky to explain by the Rep.

Why was his staffer and school board member invited twice to testify at the State Grand Jury?

Do you think that the AG and State Police selected the successful Gergely sting operation at random or did they have strong suspicions and authorization from their superiors?

You are correct he is good for the city, one can be good and benevolent but the person has to play by the rules, ethics, and exhibit morality. I think the Honorable Rep. Gergely practiced foolishness and stupidity in being “connected” to a known “corrupt organization” ring leader Porky. Mr. Gergely admitted on tape that he was connected. Enough said.

I would think that one of key questions to Mr. Gergely will be how long was he connected to Porky, and does it encompass MASD employment affairs?

We can all sit back and hope that those who were subpoenaed to testify at the State Grand Jury provided convincing testimony that validated his purity and exonerated Marc of all and any suspicions.

We like Mr. Gergely and wish him the best.

What are these "real" ideas of which you speak? Where is the "real" effort? Surely if the people running our city had good ideas and were making such efforts we would be in the black, with low crime, be growing businesses and attracting new home owners. None of those things is happening and none have since the day Brewster became Mayor. Unless of course you count those phantom 150 businesses that nobody can seem to name or find on a map. The Controller hurting families? Most harm brought to families is unfortunately done by members of their own families. That is, unless you are an enemy of the powers that be of course. Then all bets are off and you and your family are fair game for slander and worse. Who's family member has the Controller forced out to give a political crony a job? Who has he had forcibly removed from a council meeting so as to limit their right to free speech? Has he paraded around town in a brand new luxury SUV on our cash strapped city's tab? Has he taken contributions from underworld figures? Has he run for office in a town in which he doesn't reside? Has he covered up scandals to protect the hides of friends or supporters? Has he had scandals he was involved with covered up to protect his political future? People that live in glass barns should keep their donkeys in the barn. Otherwise they come outside and show their asses in public.

Mayor Cherepko and Solicitor Elash orchestrated the unfair removal of the Business Administrator, CDBG Director, and MACM Superintendent. Were these good persons and their families hurt, harmed, and embarrassed by Mayor Cherepko's revenge?

Mayor Cherepko also gave Public Works Director Shermenti a very generous $20,000 retirement incentive when the mayor knew in January 2013 that the Federal Grand Jury subpoenaed public works records according to the Post Gazette. Was this an incentive or a legal or perhaps illegal paid out to keep the PWD cooperative?

Fifth Beatle, BBB, and the unforgettable whats-his-name from the MACM wouldn't cooperate anymore with the shenanigans. They were ALL COMPLICIT from the first time somebody at City Hall told them to look the other way, and they did, all these years. Pittman will always be the worst, since he and Starrett carpet-bagged into town in the mid-1980s to start funneling Federal money from where it should've gone - turning around the town - to somewhere else.

Regardless of what reason the retirement money was for, there's alot of stupidity on both sides, and they all deserve what's going to happen.

It seems like every stone turned over one finds suspicions characteristics. This covers the entire scope of city operations and their affiliated activities.

For example, like the IV, Palisades, City per se, Marina, RDCM, MACM, Pension Fund, Business privilege taxes, earned income tax, federal income tax, federal taxable fringe benefits, State income tax, State unemployment tax, politicking on city time, procurement of vacant property by the mayor, pay for play political contributions by city vendors, pay for play contributions by city employees, MHA nepotism, MACM nepotism, unaccounted for missing copper scrap at MACM, illegal MACM million dollar host fee, IV gate unaccountability, etc.

The mayor proclaimed to his employees that the Pittsburgh news media blew things way out of proportions on the gambling probes and this will all go away. There is nothing too it said the over confident mayor . Therefore, nothing will happen and no one should expect any attention from the law authorities.

Sure mayor, but how do you explain the indictment of your puppet councilman, Chairman of the Marina and IV and your confidant? You are perceived as complicit as long as you let him appointed. And, how do you explain at $4050 contribution from the indicted Porkster?

Well said. For some reason there are people that will try to portray BBB and DP as greater now that the machine dumped them. Don't let your hate of MC taint the truth that BBB was always incompetent and DP was always dirty.

WHAT! the control freak mayor let dirty doings go on without his knowledge or control or consent? No way! If the mayor knew about his employee's dirty deeds then the mayor was integral to each or conceived them.

You unknowingly implicated the esteemed one who is more popular in the Port than our Lord. Shame on you Judas and your MDC.

Fifth Beatle didn't live in the city while he was CD director or city administrator, but he isn't related to anybody. As far as who and where he slept...

But, Mr. Pittman was NOT AN ELECTED OFFICIAL! He was an employee.

Today several city employees do not live in the City and council and the mayor look the other way.

The carpetbagger controller candidate is a very frequent and generous contributor to Cherepko and Brewster. That gives him a pass to sleep outside the city.

Why hasn 't the controller called to attention these city employees that live outside the city? Was he aware that Pittman didn't live in the city as well? Shouldn't our watchdog make these issues public?
