This seems like a nasty unfair rumor to harm the business or it owners. We hope it is a rumor only.

They appear to operate a well managed and operated class business. We eat there frequently and enjory their food and atmosphere. It is a good gathering place for those affiliated with the city or governmentto relax and exchange opinions.

I am saddened by your validation -- but I still hope it is a rumor. We will fine out fist hand because my wife and I plan to eat there Thursday.

We wish them the best if you got it correct.

How do you know they will share truth with you. Probably best if they say all is well and hope for the best. Whatever said could be a lie from anyone. Chicks is the best McKeesport restaurant according to reviews.

I like Tiger Town a little more than Chicks. This is because in addition to excellent food you get to say that you saw some important elected and appointed officials there.

However, all I have to say about Chicks is good service, a lot of space, and the Chicks' chicks are very photogenic and excellent waitresses.

My wife saw it on the owner's FB page, and we confirmed it at the restaurant on Friday, Dec 28, when we stopped in for dinner. It really is a shame...great food, and some great folks working behind the bar and counter, too. Best of luck to Kenny and the rest of the gang. Sure hope someone else steps up to fill the void. Two visits to Chick's have definitely NOT impressed me. Maybe they've gotten better in the last couple of months.

Thanks..This is terrible. Great food and service (except for a very foul mouthed waitress named Beth who served my wife & I in the past)

Chick's is good- but, gotta watch their specials- very misleading. Excellent service there though

Thanks, whocares...I may have to give Chick's another shot. I like to keep it local when I can.

I like the foul spouting food attendant. It reminds me of my first Army platoon sergeant in basic training.

This made me feel like I was back in uniform.

You never been around your own city employees? That's all they do is fight and slander each other. Reason the city has a bad name from a long tone ago. You never seen city employees fight with one getting arrested. It was attitude and language that got McKeesport that way. Several politicians mentioned McKeesports' bad reputation at a gala.

The city officials in McKeesport fight a lot. Several we're escorted out of meetings by the police! Several said the senator is above the law! The mayor apologized for his own attitude in the past.

Pittman (former city administamrator) MIDA was thrown out of city hall. Your city law department head solicitor has 2 DUI counts! The language is the result of city employee behavior. Mckeesport has the respect it deserves. Isn't your best complaint noise at Haler Heights and pot holes?

Had they been able to take foodstamps, they could have stayed in business.

The people with cash to spend on luxuries like pizza(aka those who work) are becoming few and far between in the port.

Our city is a haven for welfare and section 8 leeches......how can you expect any legitimate business to stay in business?

It's you and your voted politicians that thrive on it. When you lie to get money, you are on welfare. Blame yourself for voting wrong. CDBG is welfare. Many of the McKeesport city workers get paid with it. They work for it yes, but the money is welfare to McKeesport!
